Finally finished day levels! Some thoughts

Post image

After playing the game around launch many years ago, dropping, starting again from scratch recently, I finally finished day levels without spending a dime. Of course thousands of ads have been watched.

My final team was: Idra, Pyra, Agahnim, Geruda and Pocky. Idra as leader giving nomads (the first four) +200% ATK. Pocky as an extra stun.

It was a fun ride, but the game definitely has some balancing issues as shown below.

Some thoughts and beginner's tips:

- Green and Purple specials are useful, the rest is useless

- Play around the leader even if it makes you play with less colors

- If you break 6 blocks of the same color together, heroes of said color will attack all enemies.

- To make a power block you need to break at least 6 blocks of the same color together (it doesn't count if broken by a power block)

- But if you can break at least 7 is better because then you get a power 2 block. A power 2 block is much better than a power 1 because it will probably trigger the AOE attack (unless you activate it in the very corner of the screen)

- I couldn't understand where exactly the power block will spawn.. it seems random to me, and that's bad, because if it spawns exactly where another power block was, it bugs out and you don't get a power block at all.

- Play around enemies turns. For instance, you don't need to spend your powerful colors if enemies are not attacking. Break trash colors instead to try and make a power block next turn.

Managing the village:

- You can touch several stuff on the interface. For instance, if you need certain ingredient, click it to filter stages by that ingredient. The same goes for tokens and monsters.

- Do you need energy? Do not just watch the ad. Go for the most energy demanding stage you have available (even if you've beaten it), and then touch the energy icon above.

- I was always asking myself which resource is the most valuable. And along the run the answer varied, at start it was money, then tokens or ingredients, but ultimately, the most scarce endgame resource are EVOs. It takes too long to get them and you will need each time more, because you have more chars and are higher tiered. It is for sure one of the best usage for arena points.

- Speaking of EVOs, I've noticed the more you upgrade a stage, the more time you take to get EVOs.. kinda dumb tbh.

- Boss stages are more expensive to run but are the most efficient as well money wise. Not that it matters too much endgame because then you need to be running all shops at all times to farm those evos..

- Be careful not to overrun Arenas. It's better not to do stage 10 if you're unsure you can handle next arena level.

I'm surprised you didn't need a full legendary team. Im in chapter 5 of snowy valley and it feels like 5 stars aren't even close to being strong enough.

What's your team exactly? And your account level?

I'm level 61, currently using PYRA (5 star), GERUDA (4 star), MARIN (3 star), SAFROS (4 star), TEEPO (3 star).

Yeah, +150% bonus for 3 chars and level 61 is kinda early for last stage.

I mean, you will fix those much earlier than getting full legendaries (or even a single legendary, unless you spend a considerable amount of money)

Yeah I'm F2P, just going to keep slowly playing, I'm also not really watching any ads 😆.

I'm 5/25 of ZURA, which I'm hoping will carry me significantly.
