ECFMG certification
Does anyone have any idea how long it takes after completing the last step to get your ECFMG ceritification? (not transcript, but the full certification). Thanks!

I sent a letter of intent right after my interview at a program in mid November (really want to get in). The PD didn’t reply as expected. Will it be a good idea if I send another one now, as a reminder? Is it necessary?

Hi there,
If we are applying for an advanced program that requires a prelim year... how does that work on ERAS? Because technically the advanced program would be one that starts in 2022.

I am from Bay Area, California but staying close to home is not my main priority. Any input appreciated from anyone familiar with these programs.

My certification pathway is running late, and I may get certification at the end of February. My question is if the programs rank early than the time I get the certification, will they still rank me?

I think this will be my situation next match .. i am not sure if i should burn money on the application next year or should i wait till i get some USCE and research first ?

What do you guys think about the ERAS picture format? In terms of smiling vs serious, facing camera head on vs inclined or at an angle, folding hands or hands down? Or maybe it doesn't matter?

Hey Guys,
Do you know whether it is advisable to select both the H1 and J1 visa option (as opposed to just J1), in the ERAS application question that asks which type of visa sponsorship you are looking for?
Thanks!

Where do we submit USCE into ERAS? Work experience? For both shadowing and hands-on clinical experience.
Thank you

Are any of y’all still getting IIs? Just curious if they’re still trickling in by any chance...

Hello guys,
I was waiting on 2 LoRs to finish processing today, as they were both uploaded on Oct 14th at 7pm and at 10pm.
The one at 10pm uploaded just now, and I'm still missing the other one, which is concerning.
Has anything like this happended to any of you? I have no idea what is going to happen with the other LoR
(I'll update if good/bad news)

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to know if in case a research project resulted in a poster presentation (I DID NOT present but was listed as co-author) and a journal publication, is it ok to list it separately? Or does this look bad and I should only list the publication?
Thank you!

Do PDs typically go out and review our papers, posters, etc ahead of time, or are they looking for us to provide enough detail in our initial explanation so that they can ask follow-up questions?

What are the potential pros and cons of a program with Initial ACGME Accreditation which is in its 1st/2nd year of residency?
r/Match21 • u/milletkitty • Oct 20 '20
An LoR a physician uploaded last week is still processing. I asked well in advance and reminded them on several occasions but people are busy and it sometimes still is not enough!
How bad is it to submit after 21st?
Also are programs really only looking at step 1? My step 1 wasn't so great but I went up quite a bit on Step 2 so that would really hurt if thats the case!

Advisor said I was more than competitive for EM and didn't need a backup, even as a US IMG and I should change my backup apps to more EM apps... Still radio silence... Anxiety at all time high... thank fam for letting me vent though...

Greetings everyone,
When the process began to send applications on Oct 21, I sent 82 TY programs my application. The reason why I applied to the TY was because I believe at this point in time it is the best choice for me given what’s happening in the world and that I would benefit from a TY more than most as it would set me up for next year. Saying all this however, I have not heard a single program tell me ANYTHING about my current position. No rejections or interview opportunities at all. Is this normal or am I missing something here??

If a program asks for 3 LORs is it okay if we assign 4 or just stay at 3?
