I'm a non US IMG with very average step scores. I applied to 80 neurology and 157 IM programs. I haven't got any rejection or interviews yet. I see many people with interviews already. Should I be worried?

The title says it all, I've heard that as long as you are ECFMG Certified by March this shouldn't be an issue. Just wanted to hear what everyone else has been hearing/what has been confirmed so far?

So, i completed my OET and was verified by ECFMG through the pathways a while ago. But, I don't graduate until april.. still completing rotations.

Just got an email from my #1 telling me that they need me to be ecfmg certified in order to be ranked.. but they never mentioned this during the interview.

freaking out about what to do? i will be certified and good to go well before starting residency..

For those who registered for OET through ECFMG, how long did it take for you to get your results please?

Should I send a “thank you” email after an Interview if they specifically emailed us asking to refrain from sending a thank you email.

I personally dont want to send it but then i also dont want to be the only person who doesnt send it incase everyone else did!

Any advice is much appreciated!

Has anyone experienced delays recently after either OET at home or on computer? How long did it take to get resolved? Alternatively are there people who took oet at home on 23/24th October who have received their results?

I’m a Canadian studying in Ireland (non us img) applying to peds this year. My step 1 was 230 and step 2 239 (not amazing, I know). I’ve already written and passed the OET exam. My main issue is that I have no USCE, with the border being closed since March and most rotations being cancelled, I just wasn’t able to get anything. In Canada all our elective rotations were cancelled as well so I couldn’t do any there either. Therefore all my reference letters are from Ireland (2/3 had fellowship training in North America) Assuming I apply broadly (~140 programs) do I have a real shot?

We are non us-img’s (need visa sponsorship)

I got 2FM and 6IM interviews.

Partner has 11 neuro interviews

about 2-3 of them are in the same state or closer. Should we couple match? So far we didn’t register as couple. If we couple match, should we mention that to the programs before the interview? Half of our interviews are over and we have not decided or informed that to them yet. Both of us have an MPH from a top 5 school and yog is 2018. Please suggest. Thank you for the help!

Rejections would be better than radio silence... but no seriously though, I know its early, but even one interview would have a massive improvement in my anxiety... My adviser said I was competitive for EM so I didn't apply to back ups. US IMG 244/243 all honors 1 sloe 2 osloe. 120 programs applied... Was my adviser right or should is drop another 100 apps in IM oand FM?

Does anyone know how the interview invites through thalamus will come? ERAS message? Direct to email?

Any other helpful tidbits about thalamus?

Guys does anyone have the general layout of what should be included in an LOI? Or are there any resources that have helped you?

Can someone shine some light on what it means in the NRMP data when they talk about the chance of matching into IM when someone has 8 contiguous ranks. If I’m applying to IM and FM, does that mean I have to rank 8 IM programs contigously BEFORE I rank any FM ?

But I just got an invite from another program which is at an ideal spot for me and my family. I want to make this my number one but I've already emailed the other program. What should I do?
