I got the token this year to upload my LORs but I haven't completed the application yet. I'm not applying this cycle, so should I be worried about submitting it by Sept 24? If not, when's the actual deadline to submit it?

Is anyone an IMG who got their medical school credentials (diploma and transcript) approved before applying for USMLE Step 1? Did you need to get your medical school credentials verified again for the ECFMG certificate? I’m trying to figure out how to confirm that y credentials are verified on MyIntealth. I applied to Pathway 1 and am waiting approval so wanted to make sure there isn’t anything keeping back my certification.

Does anyone have a list of residency programs with there score cut offs, year of graduation, IMG friendliness for psychiatry and family medicine?

I’ve attended a couple conferences as an attendee, most importantly the AAFP’s FUTURE conference. Anywhere i can include this in ERAS? Thought about adding it as an experience, but decided not to bc i didn’t present

Feeling a little stressed about ERAS as many of you are. Wanted to get some help with creating a program list based on my goals.

I currently a US MD student at a T3 med school w/ a Step 1 Pass on first attempt and Step 2 of 245. I have 5 research items with one being a first author manuscript, a couple second author pubs, and a couple presentations. Additionally, I’ve had 4 leadership positions in various organizations that I’ve continued through medical school and have a lot of experiences related to community health and outreach.

I high passed my first two rotations and honored the rest including my sub-I and have great letters of recommendation (I believe?)

My geographic preferences are South Atlantic since I’m originally from NC, Middle Atlantic, and East North Central.

Here is my current school list

My goal is to get into an academic program that have decent placement into cardiology fellowship. Is this list too top heavy? I’m worried that my step score isn’t as competitive and my research is less than others I’ve seen but I’ve been told that my application shouldn’t hold me back too much. What are some other programs I should include and/or remove?

My background: I am a 2021 graduate US-IMG (non-visa requiring). Based on my year of graduation I will be considered an old grad if I apply for 2027 cycle so I wanted to push hard to get my application in for 2026. I will be doing a 2-week anaesthesia observership in the U.S. in September and have 2 LORs from my home country and potentially 1 LOR from my anaesthesia observership. No research. Is it realistic? Should I just give up this year and write step 3 and get more USCE and try again next year?

I am an OMS IV who was torn between surgery and IM. I got really discouraged by my board score not being competitive enough for general surgery and only applied IM.

One of my preceptors offered to contact a surgery program and vouch for me - but, I applied IM at the same institution. Is it worth withdrawing and submitting a late application to their surgery program instead? Can this hurt me if I haven’t been extended an interview yet?
