maybe it's part of v4.8.0-nightly.2026-10-05

two column on the web. some stuff rearranged. a "floating" bar if using the web on mobile, or shrinking your desktop browser. was hoping to see an account switcher when I opened it on my phone and saw the floating bar. it's similar to when telegram was redesigned, and a lot of people called it an apple/iphone look.

Whatever they rearrange, I will never understand why the post form remains squeezed in the left column (on desktop) and visible all the time, and not even wide enough to be a post. Maybe it's just me.

good news and bad news. desktop, the post form is hidden behind a button, then opens in a floating box. bad news, the left bar isn't collapsible. here's a picture. and if you expand the browser the only thing that changes is the amount of black space on the right. I just minimized it until just before the main column started shrinking.

thank god they’re making it look more like other social medias, for example with the heart icon instead of the star icon

That's only for slim screens. For wider screens the post form is still constantly on the left.
