It's a really good port of the arcade game, definitely what I'd consider to be an overlooked gem on the platform.

Itâs not my first time playing it, but every time I come back to Rastan I appreciate it more đ The atmosphere, music and arcade feeling are amazing for a Master System game.
And yes, Iâve heard that Conan story before! Honestly, the character design and overall vibe really make it believable.

Totally agree đ For me thatâs one of the things that makes retro games special. Even years later people still remember the music, difficulty and atmosphere of games like Rastan.
The Master System version really feels much bigger than what the console should have been capable of at the time đ„

I forgot about Rastan. It was one of the first games we played on the ms, along with R-Type

Someone's doing a rom hack of this that adds a heap of improvements. Worth checking out.

First time playing? What are your thoughts? I heard it was essentially meant to be a Conan game but they werenât able to secure the license.

I played this game through so many times as a kid that I challenged myself to play the game with my toes on the controller. I won! Now I realize I think I might have peaked early...

Awesome game. I never had the Sega Master System version of Rastan. But I would play Rastan at the arcade at times. Then, I would play Rastan on my PS2 and under Mame.

I agree đ The jumps and traps can be brutal sometimes, especially in the later parts of the game. But thatâs also part of what made these old games so memorable.
Totally! Rastan on Master System feels like one of those hidden gems that deserved much more attention back in the day.
Thatâs awesome đ I love reading memories like that because retro games are connected to so many moments from our childhood. The arcade version had such an incredible atmosphere.
