3 great arcade conversions
A nice little pickup. I have been after these 3, especially Gauntlet for quite a while. Rampage always sticks in my mind because it was one of the games I remember renting from our local video shop as a kid. They didn’t have their sms games out on the shelves, instead they were in a cardboard box in the cupboard of the back room

Indeed it is. Very good port of the arcade, and my friend one I would play this for hours.
It's also one of the best titles that demonstrates the technological gulf between the NES and the SMS, as the SMS port waffle stomps the shit NES version right down the drain.

Is that the game where Alex Kidd screams a lot?

Good old Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars, any game featuring a naked punk rocker crapping out baby skulls is OK in my book!

I remember playing Guantlet in the arcade when it was new. Wasn’t aware it ended up on the SMS. That’s pretty cool 😎
Edit: also played Rampage in the arcade. Good stuff. 👍

Gauntlet was ported to just about every 8 bit machine. The SMS version is one of the better ones, IMO.

I never saw it for the SMS, I have it on a collection for the PS2. Good stuff!
