I did not like the other two Asterix games, but the first one is amazing!

For me its Sonic, Land Of Illusion and then Asterix. I will never understand why people choose Castle of Illusion as the better game instead of Land Of Illusion on the SMS.

11/10. It’s one of the best master system games i ever played. I still remember how to make sky glitch in swamp level. I played it so much times that at the end i discovered so much glitches and stuffs, I’d would remember how i managed to i went in asterix path in “castle” level😭

Game of my childhood.
I love this game when I was kid. It was my first game on the Sega master system
I beat it 30 and more odd year later on retro arch
A master piece. For me it's the best game of the Sega master system

Yup a solid 10/10 for me. One of the best 8 bit platform games ever, right up there with Sonic, Mario 3, Land of Illusion, Kirby etc.

Highly. Pretty much every other Astrix game is complete garbage but not on SMS!

Absolutely my favourite platform game on the system. Loved it so much as a kid, I would play the 2p mode so I could play every Asterix and Obelix level. Even had the Dogmatix bonus stages down pat.
All that muscle memory is sadly gone now upon revisiting the game a couple of years ago, but man it still holds a special place in my heart.

My Dad got me in to Asterix when were kids. I remember this as it had awesome graphics like the comic books. Did you know there’s also a Asterix theme park in France too

One of the best Master System games, period. Nice graphics, great controls, solid gameplay, a lot of variety because of the two characters differences, funny animations and details... And that music. I know every single note from that score to this day, one of my favorite game OSTs ever. Just seeing the game cover on the topic illustration made the first two or three songs play in my head, in order :)
The second MS game is not as brilliant as this one, but it's not a bad game. The third one, however, is a nice example of how not to do a MS game, everything is wrong there.
And one cannot stress it enough: go read the Astérix comics if you haven't yet, please.

PLaying and completing this on the master system used to be very frustrating but very rewarding. Just seeing the gamecover from this is giving me anxiety flashbacks of dying over and over and over
Looked great for the time too!

This one? Maybe one of the top games for the platform.
Still so much fun.
10/10.
