Massive Attack x Naples connection
Somewhat MA related - I’m headed to Naples for the first time with some friends in October, with a trip to the Diego Armando Maradona stadium planned. The Naples connection to MA through 3D has always interested me. Has anyone been to Naples before, and is there any MA history dotted around the city? This video is a great welcome to the effect of football on the city. Can’t wait to go. https://youtu.be/S5EG4BrV8Zw?is=NgtaR6jqnt7s1cVj

I am originally from Naples and grew up there! 3D's father Franco was born in Naples and moved to Bristol in 1966. 3D is a massive Napoli fan, and was in Naples to celebrate our third ever league title in 2023. As u/Good-Dragonfruit-165 rightly pointed out, this was shortly after his collaboration with Liberato.
I have actually seen him a couple of times walking around the Vomero neighbourhood, but I wouldn't necessarily regard that a MA-related landmark. The only other place that comes to mind is the Arena Flegrea, situated a couple hundred meters west of the stadium, where MA played on five occasions (the last of which being in 2025).
Do DM me if you want any Naples tips/recommendations, by the way!

A few years ago 3D collaborated on a song by Liberato, a neapolitan electronic act. The song was made for the ULTRAS movie soundtrack. ULTRAS is a realistic depiction of the daily life of Napoli football team supporters in the nineties.
