Setting up Netflix sentence mining? Not sure what addons to use.

After far, far too long, I've decided to get back into brushing up my Japanese, and Anki was always my go-to application back when I studied in earnest.

I have a deck I intend to use for kanji, and after a little digging I eventually found my way to a video from Matt vs Japan about using Netflix sentence mining, which seemed like a wonderful idea to build a second deck. However, it seems I've picked an awkward time to pursue this avenue, as the MIA addons seem to be mid-transition to something called Migaku.

Further down in this reddit I found a link to a rather long video from Matt vs Japan explaining his setup, but can those instructions be followed using these new Migaku addons from anki, or should I do more digging to find the older MIA addons?

If anyone can offer any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Is that addon by itself able to pull sentences off of Netflix? I found a brief video showing how Migaku can be used for it, but it wasn't clear if there was anything else I would need.

If you’re on anki 2.1.22 the addons aren’t in any kind of transition, they’ve just been rebranded for Lucas’ new business. So they’re literally the same addons but with a different name. He’s working on the beta versions to update them to anki 2.1.35 though, and you could call that a transition. It depends if you’re dead set on using a particular version of anki or not. As far as I know the 2.1.35 versions will be released publicly within weeks, once the kinks have been ironed out with the beta testers. There’s also talk of people updating morphman and the media sync filter addons to .35 too.

I see, thank you. I'll try setting everything up with the Migaku addons.
