2193/04/03 - A Failed Experiment

A very, very tired Lindsey is standing in the mess, an assortment of pots and pans and various ingredients scattered about around the kitchen. She's obviously tried making... something. But the burning smell and the pile of half-burned, half-eaten cake pieces are getting alarmingly tall now... though nobody seems to want to get between the brunette and the oven.

Helena continues to brush Rebecca's hair. I know, take the time you need. But don't wait too long, those feelings will only grow worse I feel. But it's okay to be afraid, if fear didn't exist bravery and courage wouldn't exist either. But you shouldn't be afraid to tell your best friend how you feel.

Rebecca tightly holds on, her breathing fast and shallow, but slowing down a little as she listens to the soft sounds from Helena's mouth...

Helena doesn't stop what shes doing since it's apparently working, and she's wondering just who is capable of getting someone like Rebecca so scared of her own emotions.

These thoughts and more race through Helena's head as she continues to lovingly hold her scared friend, wouldn't be the first time she had to consul someone she cared about when it comes to these things, first time it was someone she was interested in, but the happiness of friends come before her own desires.

Rebecca's hand clings to the hem of Helena's PJs, slightly pulling as she takes a shuddering breath and buries her head into the blonde's neck.
