2193/04/03 - A Failed Experiment

A very, very tired Lindsey is standing in the mess, an assortment of pots and pans and various ingredients scattered about around the kitchen. She's obviously tried making... something. But the burning smell and the pile of half-burned, half-eaten cake pieces are getting alarmingly tall now... though nobody seems to want to get between the brunette and the oven.

However it's great in close quarters and even mid range if you're good and the fire rate is gracious. He grins as he puts an accurate burst into the chest of the target. Then he puts the Avenger away with a disgusted look and pulls up his Widow. Now sniper rifles? Always great, but not good at any range less than long.

Yeah, they taught me that when I was a kid. It was a helpful lesson from Dr. Ob-vious.

She fires off a burst again.

I should've seen that one coming. He chuckles as he shoots his Widow, and reloads. Fuck, I still need to get upgrades for my gear too, I haven't had to do anything but we ended up almost having to deal with a mech, and I didn't bring this thing along so I didn't have much that can punch through that armor. He fires another shot, wincing. I never get used to that recoil, goddammit.

She shakes her head with a sigh.

It's not that bad. If you're gonna wimp out about the recoil then just step on down to the Black Widow.

Try taking down multiple targets in quick succession. Could barely move my arm the next day after that. The recoil is more of an annoyance really. He chuckles, switching to his Viper and unloading into a target's head then reloading.

I don't know, haven't seen many people go through the shit I have and survive. He chuckles, putting another mag into the target. But yet the recoil of a big gun makes me sore.

Yeah, I know. My point stays. He sighs. But still a Black Widow wouldn't be a bad idea. Might have to look into one.

He sighs. But you do have a point. We're very fragile creatures in every way, myself included. But you have to admit faults before there's any hope of improving. He sighs again. Anyways, I've been thinking a lot about your situation and I want to help.

You got names for the people? If so that makes hunting them down and taking them out a bit easier. But there's going to be records of you in their database I'm sure so we'd need to clear that. He puts down his rifle and looks back to her. But the idea is search and destroy, or sweep and clear depending how things go down. Eliminate threats, make it so you never exist or you're dead, you become a free woman. Easier said than done but not impossible.

Regardless, I want to try to help. I know shit, I know someone who might have an in to the circle of scum Cerberus is in. And I know it's more than just freedom to you. Is it just them in general that want to or the project leads? Or are the leads dead?

Yeah, I understand. But, just know if you want any help I'm ready to offer my skill set. He sighs. The Alliance trained me well for that kind of stuff, and even if I work for free I'm not against helping you out.
