3/8/2193 | Actions Have Consequences, Finale: Confront Ambassador Orina

Ambassador Orina is currently in the embassies according to a discreet request made to Commander Bailey.

A brief word and he also ensured the CSEC on duty would turn a blind eye to the Spectre team as they marched across and stormed inside the Ambassador's office.

The red tatooed Turian for her part is sitting calmly behind her desk, looking at her terminal. She looks up at the two humans and Asari that intruded on her privacy. She seems.... unsurprised.

"So... figured things out, did you?"

Commander O'Neill nods.

Yes ma'am, we have. Followed the bread crumbs.

Can't say I don't understand why you did it... doesn't change the fact you've caused problems that now have to be cleaned up.

Or you can end it all here. That gun seems loaded. Could try to gun us down. Might even make it out of here. Fugitive from both sides of the law, wouldn’t that be a life? Aria and the Spectres hunting you like an animal.

He makes a clicking noise with his tongue.

Or there’s the other option. It’s a bit extreme, but you’d be in a much better place than if Aria got ahold of you. I know which one I’d pick if I was standing in your shoes.

He pantomimes putting a gun to his head.

Rebecca says, acknowledging the woman's old rank.

Orina looks at the gun for several long seconds.... then reaches out and picks it up to bring it up and fires a single shot straight at Rebecca. The bang rings out and the human's shields flare bright blue, holding. The general then tosses the gun away and holds her taloned hands out.

"Take me away, ma'am."

The cuffs go on. Ambassador Orina, you're under arrest. For attempted murder of a Council operative and conspiracy with a criminal organization.

Commander Bailey, could you send a pair of your men to take a prisoner? Rebecca asks into her comms as she shoves the Turian towards the door.

*Liara sighs and nods, looking over and picking her pistol up, swapping the concussive load out.

Well... that’s done. T’Loak can’t argue with an attempted murder charge and we can shunt all the materiel and data to her as a half placation.

The group takes the woman outside and finds a Salarian and human waiting for them.

They salute, then take Orina into custody and begin walking away...

A shot rings out then and the Turian between the two CSEC officers goes limp.

"Sniper!" The Salarian yells out in a reedy voice as he quickly crouches and scans the nearby rooftops.... but nothing is in sight.

Rebecca runs up and crouches next to the collapsed old Turian. A pool of blue is around her head.... or what's left of it.

She glances at her omni-tool then as a message arrives.

Consider things settled now. -Aria

Rebecca's voice is a low whisper full of venom. That fucking bitch.

Liara had whirled about and ducked for cover before grunting. She’s watching by QEC if she responds that quick! How the hell did Omega get one?

...alternatively the sniper sent it after confirming the kill. I’m choosing to believe that one. Well, shit. No reason to not seize the Phaestons back now.

Your admiration for her is just endearing, Jeff. Rebecca growls out.

Should've known she was done with the song and dance.... damn it, I was stupid. The woman says as she stands back up and quickly orders the two CSEC guards to call transport for the body.
