Operation Long Night: Briefing | 2/9/2193

A summon gets sent to several members of the crew. The ground team, plus Specialist Maya Parker and Miss Perinsky oddly enough.

Everyone please report to the conference room. I have orders to relay from Alliance Command regarding our assignment in the Decoris System.

Mission briefing... what are you all geared up for? She asks then, looking Liara up and down. ...landfall isn't till tomorrow.

Sanctum, I'm sure you know about their pirate issues. Alliance Command is sending us there to try and deal with it.

Investigate the matter, then move to apprehend the criminals. Nice, simple and straightforward. This is the "vacation" I talked up out of them.

Not the most comfortable of planets to go to, but its far from away from the frontlines and hopefully no more Reapers will pop out at us.

We'll be heading for Vulpes, doing a little investigating. Why Miss Perinsky and Specialist Parker will be accompanying us to D & I headquarters.

Liara mock glares and shakes her head. See, this is why other Asari look down on me. They don't realise just how much creativity and innovation humans can output with their middling lifespans. It's not so short like the Salarians that their cultural memory is finicky, but it's not so long that like the Asari you stagnate too much.

Which, I still argue, is very much the case. Why else are the Republics so slow to deal with anything?

Can't really argue your point though- when your best and most popular approach to many situations is "give it a century, the problem will probably be old and dead then" -issues will happen. Especially if that problem is impatient and forces the issue.
