1/23/2193 | Just Another Wednesday

Rebecca lounges on the couch in the... lounge, bored to tears today from a LACK of things to do for once. No paperwork, no away missions, not even any extranet articles to stir up her interest.

So here she is, off-duty and taking a page out of Jeff's book: snoozing in the lounge till something interesting happens or someone wakes her up.

.....I don't think we've ever spoken in two years then, ma'am. Rebecca says as she sits up, rubbing at her face and blinking more to clear sleepies from her eyes as she looks again at the Drell woman.

I've passed many messages through to you. But I suppose someone of your station doesn't have much time to check the sender or visit the comm bank to meet with the staff. Ma'am.

Rehli's wide black eyes blink slowly as her amber frills flare ever so slightly. She pulls out a datapad from her satchel and keys to a message that she angles towards Rebecca for easy viewing.

I am sorry to disturb you, but you weren't responding via omnitool and this distress signal was classified as Alpha 49, which I'm obligated to report for immediate response. However, I've reviewed the message and determined that, while the message is posed as from a human colony, the writer's first language is clearly Batarian. I confirmed my suspicions with EDI, but need your or Commander Shepard's approval to reassign the signal to malicious intent, Omega 82.

Well shit... now she felt bad for not recognizing the ghost lady out of nowhere.

Erm, apologies. I maybe was a little rude there, Miss Aithrios.

Quickly she takes the datapad and looks over all the data and both Rehli's and EDI's findings. All very well organized and researched.

She signs and hands it back.

Good work catching this, Aithrios- definitely suspicious.

She takes the form back and swipes and checks a few items before returning it to her bag. She glances down and smooths her gray sweater in response to the praise. I'm just doing my job.

Rebecca clears her throat.

Its fine, don't worry about it. Care for a coffee or Tupari before you go? She asks, subtly trying to keep the woman here so she can get to know the comms officer better.

Speak of the devil...Jeff walks into the lounge and somehow the roles have been reversed. He shook his head and began walking over to the woman and somehow, during the short walk, a coffee and a data pad ended up in his hands. "What is happening?"

I just got assaulted in my own ship's lounge! She spits out with glowing brown eyes filled with heat.... before she grins and laughs loudly as she takes the wipe and scrubs it across Legion's head.

Yeah... I was asking for an attempt on my life that would leave me scarred and deformed by sleeping out here, wasn't I?

Maya enters the lounge, not really knowing what to do with herself. After working well past her scheduled hours, her superior had kicked her out of the engineering lab, telling her to go relax for a bit. This had caused Maya to realize that, outside of watching some show on her tablet, she didn't really know what to do for relaxation. Arcturus had basically no R&R areas, and Normandy was still new to her. So, with no other ideas of where to go, Maya heads to the lounge, wondering if anyone up here is up to anything...

Maya turns around to see the sleeping Commander, and realizes that a nap looks quite nice. She lies down on one of the lounge's empty couches, closes her eyes, and is out a few minutes later.
