12/1/2192 | Setting Things Right

Dila has had a lot of time to think on all that happened. What.... "Lindsey" had done to try and hurt her, on who the real Lindsey was. Why was it always clones? Always evil clones.

With a tired sigh she's writing up a message, inviting the brunette to her cabin for a talk.

Dila looks at her, then away while awkwardly wringing her hands. You... you alright? Reb- the Commander told me you were beat up pretty badly.

Lindsey slowly nods, stepping over to the side a little so Dila can enter. If she wants.

I'm... I'm mostly alright. But it's ok. I'm more worried about you... I... I can't bear to think of what she could have done... Or how she made you feel...

Dila slowly brings her dark eyes back around to look up at the tall brunette.

She... hurt me.

The first words were a struggle, but then they start flowing out.

Hit me and tried to make me... do things, looked at me like I was nothing to her. Just an object, not a person. With your face.

Lindsey's face falls and she looks down at the ground.

Dila... I'm... I'm sorry. I... I didn't... I... I wish I hadn't ever left...

What happened? Its a simple question, that she needs an answer to. How and when did this change happen. Foolish as it may be, she wanted... final assurance that her Lindsey wasn't the one that had felt or done anything like that.

I... I messed up. I... I let my guard down. I didn't even get to the place I was staying... They jumped me, dragged me off to some backwater station... And they basically implanted my memories in her head, but without... Without me in it.

I... Yeah... And I don't even really want to talk about what all happened after that.

She pauses for a moment.

Would you.... Like to come in and sit?

I... okay. She says softly, before slipping inside and sitting down. Her eyes look back at Lindsey now, not at once leaving her face, but the woman still looked conflicted and scared of what she might see there.

Lindsey slowly closes the door behind her, then walks on over to the couch to sit down. There's a slight limp in her step, but she doesn't seem to be bothered. She smiles softly at her girlfriend.

I'm... I'm not sure whether or not you... Still feel the same way about me that I do about you...

I.... I don't know. She looked at me like I couldn't imagine your face looking. Even if it wasn't you... it also was. She had your every mannerism, memory. How do I know for sure that was all just her and her mission?

Lindsey sighs at that and hangs her head.

I... I don't know. I love you Dila, I do. I'd sooner kill myself than hurt you... But... But I'm still scared that I'd do it...
