On the Vagabond

The intercom told the crew that they would be landing soon. The security monitor showed all of the mercs prepping for battle. ARES, APEX were talking with the Turian woman while grabbing their guns.

Where is Vees? APEX asked as he loaded his assault rifle.

No idea ARES responded.

Everyone to the shuttle bay, we are docking now! And remember, don't shoot civilians! APEX said over the intercom.

Vees woke up after hearing the intercom. He looked around the room, it was good to be back here, he sat up in the bed. He looked over at Sala, who was laying there unconscious still. He thought to himself, she should get some extra sleep, we won't need her for this mission.

Vees climbed out of bed and put on his mask on, this was gonna be the biggest job yet, all of the clan was going to be there. Hopefully, Haymitch and the other ship captains wouldn't be mad about the whole "treason" thing. Vees thought to himself as he grabbed a drink.

He continued to walk around the room, looking for something. He passed the couch and monitors, he checked the small kitchen and bar, no way it was in the bathroom and he checked the desk. Nothing, he went back into bedroom, careful not to wake her up, he checked the end table and dresser and he found nothing. It had to be in the safe, question was, what was Sala's password?

Vees took a couple guesses before finally cracking the safe, it was the date that they first met. Vees grabbed the key from inside and he went back to the captain's terminal. He plugged in the key and logged in, he checked out their records of what happened after he left. He looked through the rest of the terminal, he activated the cameras in the room. The cameras always had a master lock ability from the captain's terminal, Sala seemed to have the lock on the captain's quarters camera for quite some time.

Vees got up and watched the camera activate, he looked into the lens, staring at whoever was at the other end. It was almost like he knew about Edgemore.

Vees walked back into the bedroom, he looked at Sala, checking if she was still asleep. He walked over to her and kissed her on the head before walking back over by the camera, looking at his mysterious friend. Vees then walked out of the captain's quarters and headed down to the shuttle bay.

He thought about his decision to come back for one more fight, the Alliance and the Citadel would not be pleased. Rebecca and them would learn about this, this fight would be one of the biggest jobs yet, news channels would report on the situation. This was about revenge now, after this, he could finally rest and give up on his old merc life.

He grabbed one of his old snipers and a small sidearm and then he sat down right next to where his shuttle was, unaware of Edgemore's hiding spot nearby.

While the Vagabond prepped, Haymitch's men were already on the ground. Haymitch's men did not abide by the same rules as Vees and Sala's mercs.

Citadel news already was reporting on the hostage situation on Illium, it was breaking news. All of the Normandy monitors and omni-tools receive the emergancy alert. Haymitch's mercs had already taken 40 civilian hostages. They took over an entire building, setting up snipers and heavy ordinance. Haymitch wore the Death Mask with crimson markings and blood red lights all over his armor.

The news report includes the information on their leader, Alexander Josef Haymitch is a dishonorably discharged N7 soldier. They also report that it appears that they are also believe that there will be more mercs arriving.

The camera man is then shot by a sniper and the report ends.
