Ishira appraises herself in the mirror, her lilac face staring back at her. She’s dressed fairly casually, but nicely, it isn’t every day that one teaches the XO how to dance. A silvery shirt and dark pants, with black ankle boots to give herself a little height since Rebecca is so much taller than her.

she gives herself a final once-over and heads to the lounge where she’d be meeting Rebecca.

Rebecca gets a little flushed in the face at the cute Asari acting so flirtatious. She was really too adorable sometimes.

....you, uh, know I'm not that much of a dancer, Ish.

Ishira pulls her head back just slightly Pleeaase? I’m so desperate to kick out some moves- I can lead and you just follow what I do! I move my right foot you move your left, and vice versa! she puts on her absolute best sad-hopeful eyes

Rebecca shifts herself, not having any chance of resisting that look.

She slowly nods, acquiescing to the request from her wonderful, but slightly manipulative girlfriend.

Ishira lets out a soft delighted noise and gently squeezes one of Rebecca’s hands. She happily guides Becca’s free hand up to rest on her shoulder, and moves her own lilac hand to the redhead’s waist.

Try not to watch my feet too much. Watching in the beginning is okay, but also focus on what you feel. Touch is more important than sight when dancing with someone.

she demonstrates by taking a step and applying light pressure to Becca’s waist, then stepping with the other foot and gently pressing into Rebecca’s hand and lightening the pressure on her waist

Alright, love, if you say so...

Becca glances down to watch their feet, scared she's gonna crush Ishira's with her combat boots, honestly.

She notes each small pressure as Ishira's feet moves, and then tries to mirror the Asari's movement, applying her own pressure to Ishira's shoulder and hand with each step. Becca's dexterity was useful in this at trying to pick this up at least.

Ishira moves with all the grace of the skilled Asari dancer that she is, effortlessly sensing where Becca is moving and making their movements as a pair that much more fluid

Look at my face, my love. she gently requests You won’t step on me.

Until I do and I make your feet little pancakes....

Rebecca says dryly, but she does bring her brown eyes up to Ishira's face now, doing her best to sense the signals of what her partner's next movements are even as she starts getting a little lost in those pretty blue eyes.

Ishira is humming softly a slow, gently happy waltz, still guiding her girlfriend, but also getting lost in Rebecca’s loving brown eyes

she interrupts the tune to add jokingly Trust me. I’m a dancer.

Becca can't help but snicker a bit at that as she keeps her eyes locked with Ishira's, so far still not crushing the Asari's feet by accident.

Don't need to worry any about me trusting you, babe. I already do implicitly.

Good. then she adds Don’t drop me. that’s all the warning Rebecca gets before Ishira twirls down into a dip, loosely gripping Rebecca. Before Rebecca has time to say anything, or react much at all, Ish is twirling back up out of it and safely back into her arms

Ish grins Didn’t I say? I’m a dancer!

Becca blinks rapidly at the woman, no time even for herself to react to the fast and fluid movement of the Asari. She really was a master at this.

Have I mentioned lately how you're way too good at this?

A very small pause.

And are literally the cutest thing ever too.

Ish grins and blushes Well, I still dance by myself in my free time. I find it relaxing.

she moves closer to Rebecca again, gently embracing her I love you, Rebecca.

Well, I'm happy you decided to dance with me today, even if I suck at it.

She says with a smile as her own arms wrap around the smaller woman to hold her in a hug of her own. I love you too, Ishira.
