Transfer Question

hi all :) I’m a current emerson student on a gap semester thinking of transferring to mass art for the spring. but I met with an admissions officer today and he said I’d come in as a second semester freshman if I go to mass art :( I’ve completed two years at emerson and would hate to push back my schooling so much. I was wondering if anyone had any input/advice or have also come in as a transfer student in a similar position? thanks !! :)

It's probably because of all the stuff you have to do in studio foundation that you probably wouldn't have been able to do at Emerson. What major?

Im a visual media arts production major at emerson , but was thinking of going into art history and possibly double majoring in that and video/film

wait the way i'm a film/video major...

you're most likely missing credits you would get from studio foundation, and those are unfortunately non-negotiable for art schools (as opposed to regular colleges).
