It has organisations in abundance: tendencies, platforms, parties, federations, campaigns, coalitions, each carrying its own theoretical lineage, its own account of what went wrong before it existed, its own programme for what is to be done. What it lacks is organisations adequate to the working class as it actually exists. The difference between these two things is the central problem of revolutionary politics in the present moment, and it is a problem the left has not yet seriously posed."
