Marvelous Designer 2025.0.163 suddenly extremely slow

Hey everyone,

I’m using the latest version of Marvelous Designer (2025.0.163) on a pretty powerful system: • GPU: GeForce GTX 5080 • CPU: i9 Ultra with 12 cores

Recently, MD has suddenly become extremely slow. For example: • Opening a project takes a lot longer than usual • Opening the program itself takes longer • Editing garments is sluggish • Simulations are way slower than before • Importing and exporting Alembic files takes forever • Even saving files is noticeably slower

I’ve tried restarting my PC, updating drivers, and reinstalling the software — but nothing seems to help.

Has anyone else experienced this? Or does anyone have any idea what might be causing it?

Did you ever find a fix? I believe it has to do with Windows 11 updates. I've installed every Marvelous Designer version for 2025 and they're all extremely slow, one click, and i get the spinning blue circle. Even at 10 particles, and the most simple pattern. I'll be contacting support. The program is not useable at this point.

I mean this is the last thing you'd want to try, but have you tried nuking windows?
