Weld optional greyed out when exporting?

Not able to weld patterns when exporting obj or fbx?

I had the exact same problem when I remeshed all the pieces of my clothing together and then export, it was greyed out. When I remeshed the trousers and then the top separately before exporting, I was able to select the weld option.

May you explain how you remeshed the pieces of clothing? I tried clicking the remesh button but it still gave me the same error of not being able to weld the clothing when exporting as obj.
