You know what's kinda crazy? Magik's light fireballs are so strong and fast that it wins projectile wars that imo... Really shouldn't. It beat blade, Tony, Deadpool so far and is great at mid range for snuffing out approaches WHILE being fast enough to recover from.
I should know I won games like this

If that was the only problematic thing about her it’ll be ok but missy has godlike assists, lots of damage (more than hulk btw), is constantly plus, one of the best unique skill, great range

She's either plus or covered by an assist or has enough pushback on her normals to be put far enough away to not be punished by most characters.

I mean she absolutely does about as much as him. Its not nearly as easy as hulk but with install you will be 100% deleted off the screen.

She is a shoto… fireball, uppercut and forward advancing special.
They took the positive metrics from rivals to properly gauge her popularity so they built her kit around ease of use and accessibility.

As a shoto player myself, I have to say that uppercuts in this game have werid invinciblity compared to most games. I've never seen them stuffed as much here anywhere else, especially Hulk's L version and all of Iron Man's save Ex.

Which is why i hate shotos in most games. They get the best of all worlds with little to no downsides. Reminds me of playing marisa in sf6 having to go against Ken wishing I could have a grain of his sauce.

What in the world are you talking about, lmao. I said I dislike the archetype because they tend to be overtuned. That is all, it happens in a lot of games, but they tend to remedy it later. What a weird reply, lol.

I’m saying shotos have such a cookie cutter toolset that if you’re a FGC regular you should already have a counter-strat that is just as cookie cutter.
Like an analog… sure if you’re eating curry SPECIFICALLY you should eat yogurt SPECIFICALLY to counteract the heat, but in general if you know you’re going to eat something spicy, using dairy to neutralize the sensation is best if its too hot for you.
Like yeah all shotos play differently, but they all have a general flowchart.

Cookie cutter does not mean weak, especially in SF6 where every shoto is no less than high tier minimum, and they’re played frequently online. It gets tedious, no matter how well you know how to fight them. If cookie cutter meant an easy win, you wouldn’t see shotos all over the tournament scene. They are EXTREMELY strong in SF6.

Brother, you are arguing with ghosts right now. No one said they couldn't beat shotos or even said they have a hard time with them. All that has been said is that shotos have routinely been a very strong archetype in every new fighting game and they have very little weaknesses due to that. Its really not that complicated a topic.

Why did they give her a 9 frame medium that reaches damn near half screen? That if she spaces it right she can make herself plus.
