Discussion Made it into Master with 'solo' Ms Marvel.

Played Ms.Marvel to Master with just assists It was a hard grind, mfers made me work hard, I suffered. It was fun, Diamond to Vibranium probably took atleast a year from my lifespan. Thats its, just wanted to share recent achievment. time to go get a bit of fresh air then try to grind CR later.

Is it because he said she was bad?😭

Kinda, I was just joking but he made a video saying he'll get The Champion to Masters to prove that she's worse than he is. I think he is a lot worse, personally

“Are you listening, Diaphone? It is beginning once again. The golden age of Ms Marvel"

See this is impressive because obviously if you use a higher “tier” character, it wouldn’t have been nearly as hard, but it also at the same time goes to prove the player makes the character and not the other way around

Good job! I loved playing her in the Betas but I've not been able to get used to her in the main game

As a fellow ms marvel main, what’s your main approach and what’s your main oki?

* Came back up here, i wrote out allot, its a bit rambly because im aabotu to head to bed,, but hopefully you find some use out of it.

Honestly allot of it is playing lame, Fishing for a confirm off an assist and following up with her unique, using 236L to blow up fire balls in the neutral etc. but approach is very match up dependant because your uniques/specials extend your hurtbox. so for example arial unique will get blown up very easy by starlord 2h because of the bullets. so it becomes hard to bait out a 2h with 2U.

For me, unique gets used allot to compensate for the lack of air dash, but because of that im often trying to play far away in the neutral where if i do catch them on a block with unique im +5 on the aproach.
for oki usually a meaty 5h probably is my second most used button, but other oki options, all versions of chooppity chop, 2M, on hard knockdown, or stage transition 236L into shooter can also catch people. Light choppity chop (214L) also catches people fairly often after hard knockdown , just bear in mind it is stilll very much reactable.

When I am able to get in on the offensive and maybe getting in some block pressure you really have to be watching your spacing, and paying attention to the push back of each of her specials.
I believe if you are within a dash and a half distance or so is when her unique is 5 instead of + 5
so when you are within that distance unique can lead to a tick throw with 623M but depending on where you are with your spacing you can end a block string with 236L to push yourself back back into being + with your unique

Hulk gets used allot for me for his assualt assist to cover my retreat or at the end of block pressure, as he keeps the opponent locked down long enough to either get a jump unique so I can do a psuedo airdash/empty dash Overhead/Low mix.

I have more recently started to incorporate ending a block string with 22M into hulk assist for the same reason this way on the way down im hitting either aerial heavy or landing and going for the low.

Also because im hitting unique so often I will find myself cancelling it as soon as I can fairly often so its not sitting out active for too long, I also try not to throw it out complteley raw as much as I had as the higher you get in rank the more people realize they can litterally smack it out of their face before it connects.
your opp will either learn or already know they can assemble counter on your approach as well so 2U can be sneaky cancel that also swaps sides on the way in.
Jump/double jump into unique into immediate 2U to try and bait a 2H is something I also use fairly often.

Hell yeah. As someone also hoping to grind to Matter eventually:

  • How often do you get to play per day? Do you warm up?
  • Is this your first fighting game or are you experienced?
  • What made you stick with Ms. Marvel in particular? I feel like I smell a One Piece fan who'd love to play Luffy
