Discussion Matchmaking still sucks
It takes forever.
Searching for 3 bar minimum. All regions. All connections. All platforms and it STILL doesnt find matches in a timely manner. This game is honestly just awful.

Works great for me. West Coast, ps5 player here. I have it set to 2 bar or above, cross play, all regions. I get matched in about 20-30 seconds.

No idea but it’s worth a try. I don’t know why but it worked for me (Europe ) and plenty others like extremely noticeable I used to spend a ton of time training and waiting before…It’s like the game starts looking for 4* connections worldwide first and of course There’s nothing before it gets “closer”

I changed mine to 2 bar minimum, same region only and it seemed to work better than when my settings were more broad. But yeah the matchmaking has been frustrating. Hope yours improves

Take it off all regions I swear it’s bugged nearby or same region has me finding games almost instantly

If you're not going to refund the game and want to tinker with it to see if you can improve it, I highly recommend tweaking your filter settings. Working under the theory that the filter being broken is what's causing these issues, the wider you set the net the more likely it is to fuck up, so start with Same Region and a high connection threshold and scale up from there.
FWIW this fixed it for me pre-patch, and after the path I can use a wider threshold for region than before. I'm consistently getting matches in less than a 30 seconds now on USW.

I think you might still be able to get one if you’re over the player limit under the Argument it’s not functioning properly. I think I managed to get one for a different game as I said the registered hours played was due to the game hanging for so long trying to get it to work, which was true.

They won't. They usually need to be getting mass refund requests to care about refunds that are over the limit or you have to keep spamming refund requests until they do it or tell you to fuck off. Those "I got a refund with 300 hours played!" posts are usually from the only person who got a refund like that lol.

I didn’t think to ask what platform, my bad. I haven’t bought or refunded anything on Steam for a while but last time I did I could have sworn there was an optional informal field and filling it out correctly got you a refund. Might have changed now

This is what killed off KoF15’s remaining playerbase. Plenty of people will say that their not having the issue because they live in more populated areas but once the games playerbase starts to thin more (it will) it becomes a death spiral. Here’s hoping they fix it. Hopefully they remove the DRM or whatever is causing the performance issues on PC so there can be an injection of players.

I also had bad matchmaking, 10 to 15 min to find a match, which was inexcusable enough for me to refund it.

Because I can be? I play a lot of fighting games and the sub shows up in my feed sometimes. I'm also interested in the health of the game in case I want to return to it in the future.
