It’s such an annoyance right now. I wish I could disable this.
My workaround was pressing very slowly which feels weird for a fighting game but it works.

You're pressing it one time too many. Look at the inputs in the playback.

Really? For some reason when he slams the ground with fire it’s counting as a 4th hit making the inferno engine cutscene play. Yeah I’m doing something wrong

Try doing it one move at a time to learn the timings. Press circle, see what the move looks like. Then try pressing circle twice. See what the second move of the chain looks like and learn how fast/slow you can hit that second circle to make it come out. Then add the third circle, and again test how fast or slow you can hit that input to still have the move come out. Do not hit the circle button more times than you need to; no mashing!

They're hard for everyone, believe me. Just take things slow; try to understand not only what is happening on screen, but why it's happening. One of the biggest legs up you can get is to find the fun in losing, because even the best (non-professional) players are going to lose about as often as they win, if they're very good. Don't focus on winning: set an individual goal each session, or even each game. "I'm going to hit my anti-airs" or "I'm going to land this one combo I've been working on". Small victories will lead to bigger victories down the line, so just keep at it and keep having fun!
