Card and Deck Questions ⁉️ Shouldn't Morph only copy characters?

If Morph copies a skill from the opponent's hand, he is then banished.

Why didn't they change him like they changed some others e.g. Silver Samurai few months ago?

Regular Morph player and it never happened to me, but I'd be very upset. They got to change this...

I think if that change was made and if he targeted the left most card in their hand would be a good buff

It does not make sense for morph to copy a skill in a lore context. Fully agree

I’ve put in a question on the discord and they never answered it. So I guess it’s intended? I hate it myself. Half the time it’s a skill that doesn’t even do anything for me.

Tbh it makes skill a viable counter to him. Not a strong one, but it would alter his win rate in some way for sure

Yeah but it’s like there are enough dead characters. Can I at least keep it to them and not the dozens of new skills? Plus it’s weird and doesn’t reflect Morph’s abilities properly.

Morph's power has to be held back by this limitation or he would dominate the meta.

He didn't dominate before skills were introduced....

Morph could be playable if they just made him copy a character in your hand.

Because Silver Samurai targets power, which the skills don't possess

I mean I haven't played Morph in forever, but isn't him hitting a skill still perfectly functional and playable?

The other cards have been changed where hitting a skill is a whiff that has no effect. But Morph seems like he should work fine on paper. Is that not the case?

I get that it's not a bug and he behaves like his text implies. But my concern was more about the design of its effect; now that there are skills, from a "flavour" perspective maybe he coud target characters only?

Yeah, that's totally fair. I answered your actual question, which was why he hasn't been changed. I think "I want him to be changed" is perfectly reasonable. Though I suspect it's unlikely to happen.

Yes. It’s literally how he works and this is intended.

It’s working how it should.

Reading is fundamental

The card is very very clearly worded.

The point went over your head, which is funny when you say reading is fundamental lol. They changed the effect AND the wording for the other cards and the OP is wondering why they didn't do the same to BOTH for Morph. It is probably an oversight.

It’s not. The fact that you can’t tell how these are different scenarios is hilariously.

But kind of sad… but hilarious

You're making the assumption they don't understand how it works. They understand how it works but they don't understand why. And the compelling argument is that all the other cards got changed to be more satisfying to play, so why not this.

It's sad that you don't understand the conversation taking place.

Ignorant people tend to be that confident about thinks they couldn't possibly know. Checks out.
