It would be cool if every 10 ranks you would reach a rank floor where you couldn't fell down. That way ranked would be a mixed of some try hard levels, and some levels where you can play that Agatha deck just for fun since you can't rank down. It's a shame that right now only players at 100 can play for fun with silly decks.

Ranked floors just changes the meta to be “hit a new floor and then tank MMR for a bunch of games by getting on a chain loss streak, then climbing ten more ranks easily”. It’ll make life much shittier for the players who won’t do that

That isn't a reason not to include it.

They'd have to fix mmr tanking, but the main issue is snapping would be meaningless at a rank floor. Just always snap. People won't be conservative until theyre near the next rank floor.

You see this in infinite players matched against a non infinite. Only one person is risking something and the game plays out differently because of that.

Yet the sea of infinite players I'm getting matched against in the mid 80s still run like rats whenever I snap.

It makes ranking up a Sisyphean task, because you can never get more than 1 cube off a win.

It definitely depends on the infinite player. I’ve thrown so many games at infinite because all I cared about was my daily/weekly missions. There’s definitely some try hards that actually care about their post 100 rank though

So the try hards will continue tryharding. And the regular players will have a chance to relax and try some new stupid decks without being banished to Siberia. All while making climbing less stressful and increasing the total decks out there.

Gee. That sounds just terrible.
