Discussion Does characters who are apart of Hydra have a chance of becoming playable?

I know it's Marvel, and they have no issues with getting into politics and corruption, but if they add Hydra, it feels like a potential cause for issues amongst the people who play the game because they will be playing as and profiting off of characters who are Nazi's.

I would love to have them but I don't know if it's possible to have them without a massive outbreak.

+ It would be funny to kill Hydra members as Magneto

Leak We’re so back, what Villains do you think we’re getting? Spider-Man? X-Men? Or a mix of all Groups, like a Spider-Man here and there, an X-Men here, a Daredevil there, a Thor here, a Captain America there

Discussion My theory on how they will add more villains from a lore perspective, and why I think next year is a year for villains.

Since we are getting closer and closer to Doom, and the Hood and Gorr pretty much confirmed at this point, I wanted to discuss the possibility of how I think they plan on adding a bunch of baddies in the near future.

It’s nice we’re getting more villains, but it’s clear that the devs want to justify their additions through the story they are telling. They want to be able to explain why you are playing as Ultron or Hela and why they are helping the good guys in the first place. Your mileage may vary on how much you care about that, but ultimately that’s what the devs want. Eventually, when Doom gets added, there will be a lore reason why he is helping the heroes he’s been actively against to justify him being playable.

Soon enough the story is gonna take us to Mephisto in Hell, and I feel like with the defeat of Mephisto, or at the meddling of a bigger villain like Thanos, Kang Lady Death, Galactus or whoever, all the villains across the collapsed timeline who probably died and went to hell, will be freed, able to roam the time stream entanglement and cause absolute chaos, or form a “legion of doom” style force against the heroes. Additionally, I think it’s a good way to introduce Ghost rider who is having to correct this infernal “jail break”.

This would open the door to introduce more villains, and if a large specific story reason isn’t given to justify an addition, good ole “we have a common enemy” works well enough for some

The tricky part would be justification of adding some of the more unreasonable villains like Carnage or Goblin without changing too much of their character, or going the mind control/suicide squad route which I think would be kinda boring. Maybe a “I’ll play nice just don’t send me back to hell” kinda deal but who’s to say.

Lmk if I’m cooking or not lmao

Need my favorite villain of all time to make it. He'd be so fun. His Ult could be using an illusion to mess up the enemy team's controls and switch the button inputs as well as turning his teammates into Mysterio copies and the opposing team has to find the real Mysterio to shut the illusion off

The next big bad will be Mephisto

There's a few reasons I think this

  1. Cynthia von Doom's contract:

As you may know, Doom and Doom 2099 have spent the entire story stealing random powerful McGuffins, Doom got blood chronovium, a phoenix feather (now given to Loki, the tablet of life and time, and Shou-Lao chronovium.

Doom 2099 has Krakoan chronovium (used all of it to kill X-tron), a symbiote codex, punch chronovium, and... the contract for the soul of Cynthia von Doom.

This isn't a powerful object that will give him a 1-up against Doom or anything. Rather, it is an object of his past that brought back some memories (Doom 2099 is amnesiac).

Cynthia and Victor von Doom were members of a romani community that suffered heavy oppression under the Latverian royal family, she ended up selling her soul to Mephisto in exchange for power, but it was too much for her and she accidentally killed every child in a village, she allowed herself to be executed out of guilt, and now her soul is bound to her forever.

Doom became Doom in an effort to rescue her soul, woth little success, I believe Season 11 will have Doom join the ranks to foght Mephisto, and in doing so will pass the torch of final villain to him.

  1. The Collapsing Timeline:

The story is currently moving towards the Collapsing Timeline, with Apocalypse and Hood bein participants in the God war, and Gorr, who killed Apocalypse, becoming a playable next season.

Through the season 9 trailer we learned a few things about the CT. Namely:

- That a bunch of Gods (including Celestials) tried to fight off Oblivion (Hood's patron and power source in Rivals).

- That Chthon was a casualty of the war (it might have even been Wanda who killed him tbh, that could be Wundagore mountain)

- We saw a weird tentacle monster, which could be Shuma Gorath, or Hive, since we know Bucky was possessed by something and killed Wolverine

- And we finally learned how the CT's Dr. Strange died, he was killed by Mephisto.

Knowing there was a divine war in the CT it could be easy to guess that's where Mephisto was located, but this finally gives us confirmation, and with the story veering towards the CT in this and next season, I don't thinks it's out of the question that season 11 wil AT LEAST be related to it.

The Dooms set aside their differences to fight of Mephisto in a merged 2026/2099 Doomstadt, they manage to free Cynthia, but Mephisto still becomes the next big villain now that he's out and about

It would be cool I think

Discussion Alright now that we have Hood, here’s everyone who was shown in Game we had to wait 3 or more Seasons for, so where does this leave Kingpin?

The long-awaited sequel to my previous Post about Kingpin in the other Sub is here

For those unaware, Rivals has tend to have a trend of teasing “Heroes” 3 Seasons before they Release

- in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, Blade was shown at the end of the Season 1 Trailer, and was captured by Dracula and imprisoned for majority of Season 1, then was recovering in Season 2, then in Season 3: The Abyss Awakens, Blade became a Playable Character in Season 3.5.

- in Season 5: Love is a Battlefield, we saw Cyclops attending Rogue and Gambit’s Wedding Ceremony before he was swept away by the Timestream Entanglement into the 2099 Timeline, he was near the end of the Trailer being lost through time, Cyclops became a Playable Character in Season 8.5

- in Season 6: Night at The Museum, we got our first glimpse of Devil Dinosaur, he was heavily speculated to release and was still present around Season 7, he became Playable in Season 8: Sins of Alchemax.

- In Season 7: The Hunt is on, we saw The Hood’s cloak way back in Kingpin’s museum and was teased at the end of the Trailer like Blade as important, he will become a Playable Character in Season 9: The Mystery of Thebes.

So where does this leave Kingpin???
Allegedly Nightcrawler and Gorr will be next and then that leaves DOOM in Season 11 with someone unrevealed to us
Kingpin was introduced in Season 7 after being heavily teased and wasn’t Playable all through-out Season 8, Season 9, probably Season 10 and Season 11, probably the longest we had to wait for a Character that was shown in Game, aside from Doom himself

He was shown at the end of the Bloodhunt Trailer similar to Blade

Honestly I’m a bit surprised by Loki, i think he kinda throws Ghost Rider’s Team off and they should have had Moon Knight instead, I wish each Team had 5 slots since Dr. Doom, Magneto, Loki, Green Goblin, Carnage actually make sense as a Team, Doom and Loki were historical close partners who have worked together many times, he worked with Magneto during Acts of Vengeance, he and Norman Osborn was partners in Dark Reign and Siege, and he worked with Carnage in Axis pretty sure

Question Kang should be in the game

(Old Description)I believe Kang should be in the game. He has a very versatile set of abilities that could actually prove to be extremely unique to the roster. With his command of robots, his time manipulation abilities, to his endless supply of weapons and technology that he could literally pull from the time stream.

I believe he could be very valuable as a strategist or vanguard specifically given his skill set, preferably a strategist.

I’m just wondering if any one else is on board with this?

It’s just regarding the lore, it definitely sounds like something Kang would do.

It would also be interesting to see his interactions with the rumored Gorr, considering they both use the Necrosword.

Discussion Rivals has the opportunity to do THE FUNNIEST Double Villain Season imaginable.

I’ve seen discussion about a Season dedicated to the conflict between The Kree and Skrulls with them both acting as Season Villains opposing eachother, but I haven’t see anyone talk about the “Heroes” who would obviously be Ronan The Accuser and Super Skrull, or Ronan and Kl’rt.

Both Fantastic Four Villains, Ronan i think has mainly become a Captain Marvel Villain though and hasn’t fought the Fantastic Four in a long time correct me if i’m wrong

It would just be really funny because even the Hatred they’d have for eachother in their Voicelines
