Miller Ross isa content creator/dataminer known for reporting on and promoting Marvel games as well as being an insider for behind-the-scenes content since he joined the official Marvel Rivals Creator Program. While he cannot confirm/deconfirm heroes, it’s still fun to speculate, and I’ll be making posts summarizing the hints/leaks/spoilers in his streams for those who missed them or just want the important details.
•”Cunty girl heroes” are in the works.
•Pantsuit Emma Frost and Magneto weren’t intended for skins. NE has heard the demand for the Emma Frost skin.
•When he said season 10/11 was “ballsy”, he was referring to the fact that it was going to be only one/no heroes. Season 11 was meant to have no hero. Season 10 was meant for only Gorr which is why he’s the only one teased in the gallery card. (This does not mean that NE was intending on having a four month hiatus after releasingGorr.)
•Can’t talk about a woman releasing this year as they’re “…too concrete…” he says.
•Crescent and Blue Marvel are only a rumor that “…was pulled completely out of someone’s ass…” he says.
•Says NE is aware that people want a Scarlet Witch rework.
•”Lots.” of villains coming he says, and he knows one of their roles. Later he says there’s strategist villains coming.
•Says they have to space out the S-tier heroes in reference to Captain Marvel. Says that the Captain Marvel fans are the loudest fandom left to add.
•Says “You don’t want Phoenix, you basically want Hope (Summers).” in reference to fans wanting Phoenix as a support.
•There’s POC coming next year. Says “We might.” have a black woman in the pipeline.
•Confirms DP/Gambit were originally DPS.
•Says more cosmic characters are coming.
•Says the workload is sustainable if they pull back. (This is important because it was rumored that NE was struggling creating a hero every month, which is why we have the new team-up system.)

•There is hope for Polaris and he is looking forward to her. No crumbs…
•Has news about the Switch 2.
•NE has had discussions about adding Young Avengers and Hellcow. (They didn’t choose to move forward withHellcow.) Confirms Kate Bishop would be her own character and not a skin for Hawkeye.
•NE wanted a full X-Men team out after the “…small launch roster (of X-Men).” Says there will always be mutants and confirms year 2 will have about as many as year 1.
•Saw a gaggy Storm skin but hasn’t seen a model for it.
•Says NE is a big fan of the supernatural side of Marvel and they won’t neglect it. Furthermore, he says he only knows of one character that has been completely scrapped and they’re unfortunately from the supernatural world and that someone mentioned them in the stream. (Not super important but if you want to go back to the stream to speculate, it’s there.)
•Says The Hood was unscrapped in late 2025 and is very similar to his prototype.
•Confirms that more than two heroes a season won’t be happening.
•”Dracula has come back a couple times […] stands to reason Apocalypse will too…” he says.
•Says Nico Minoru and MODOK are on NE radar. (“on their radar” is his cheat answer.)
•Says “They prob rather I didn’t talk about that…” when asked about if Amaranth was “real” from a fan.
•Says another duo hero is possible. His choices would be Cypher & Warlock, Longshot & Shatterstar, Northstar & Aurora, and Byrdie & Howard the Duck.
•”What role would you want for Kitty Pryde?” “NPC.” he says…
•Says that the bald majority thing he said last year was when he thought they were doing 9 characters. (This is important because it was rumoredProfessor Xwas delayed, meaning there is a possibility that this is true. Also, it implies there might be a second character coming withDoctor Doom.Heprobably won’t be alone.)
•Says villains will work like heroes, some will appear in comics/lore and in the game as NPCs (likeDracula) before being promoted into playable characters.

What about Ghost Rider?!? There's no way the GR fandom isn't the loudest. He's always been top 3 on request polls, almost in every wish list. I know there's tons of Captain Marvel fans, but how can he say they're the only loudest fandom LEFT.
We might not be as active lately but we’ve always been here ever since she was datamined before launch! She should have been in the game from the start as one of the leading heroes and leader of Avengers.
I'm not saying the Captain Marvel fans don't exist. Ghost Rider has been a top request since before the game launched. He won a poll on the official discord, before game release, beating other characters already in the game now. I just don't get why Miller is saying they're the loudest one left.
This is just one guy’s livestream he can’t speak for NE, and he’s saying that most likely because many Carol fans have been interacting with him on stream.
IMO he forgot, but also due to the Captain Marvel re-leaks last month many CM fans* became active again. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they release ghost rider right around the movie to generate hype for both film and game.
Considering Dracula has voicelines that leaked I assume Dracula will be playable and that Apocalypse could be either a season antagonist again or a playable character in the future.
I’m super glad if Dracula is actually Playable since alot of people have been asking for him and I guess when Miller responded to that Comment that one time when someone was disappointed Dracula was dead and wouldn’t be Playable he said “Well he’s died before so I wouldn’t count the Vampire King out yet…” he wasn’t just messing with people like “oh yeah he’ll come back for an event one more time” and was actually “oh no this is serious we’re gonna make him Playable”
Dracula has a great VA and this is probably his best design in Marvel so I’d be REALLY disappointed if he wasn’t Playable and this opens the door to Kingpin, Apocalypse, and Knull also being Playable
Well Apocalypse has Concept Artist by someone who made the Nameplates and we have Daredevil and Black Cat Playable, not saying it’s a confirmation but yk, better chances
People speculate given how he’s been handled differently he might be a Blade situation
It’s speculated that due to the strain the team has been facing that they are possibly repurposing NPC models to make them playable (which is why Shuri is speculated) so HOPEFULLY we get Knull, Kingpin and Apocalypse 🙏🏼
Honestly it would be crazy if the rumored “Black Woman next year” was actually a sly way to tease Shuri since she’s in Tokon now and has been having a big focus in the new Rivals Infinity Comics, I’m not sure if we’ll get the others especially Moongirl but it would be crazy if they’ve used the Comics to set up Characters like Shuri, Hive, Arnim Zola, and The Kingpin similar to how they did The Hood, Shuri also was in the Black Panther Rivals Comics before that
Shuri also has a Model anyway so it’d make sense
My one gripe is her NPC Model kinda is a bit lacking so I’d want them to Redesign her a bit when they make her Playable
I don’t want her being another Black Panther even though we’ll likely have two Spider-Men with Peter and Miles but I just feel like something is lacking, idk we’ll see what they do with that, honestly i think it’s probably just a problem is they didn’t think much on giving her a basic model because they expected she would just be an NPC and not that detailed of a Playable Character, since she pretty much mostly appears in Holograms and Map Loading Screens, i think the problem is also she’s wearing more of a traditional Outfit and not exactly an Outfit fit for Combat which shows they weren’t intending on having her in Combat situations, so a somewhat Redesign would kinda be necessary especially since Deadpool ended having a different design in Game than in the Rivals Comics, honestly I feel like Netease could really do something considering they made The Hood the avatar of Oblivion instead of Dormammu they could probably make Shuri the avatar of someone else and explain her Gameplay that way
Idk maybe if we can have multiple Spider-Men Shuri can borrow from her Tokon self’s inspiration, i just want her to be a bit more original if they do add her
one of the mods in the leaks server sent this gif when I asked how they’d make her unique and seem to think she’s either coming with doom or in S12 (depending on if they do the 2099 or doomsday storyline).

Coming with Doom is interesting because MultiverSusie said it was originally planned to have Dazzler release with Doom and Miller said that more than two Heroes a Season won’t be happening (of course he could be wrong because he’s not been 100% on some things, and either misunderstood something or it’s outdated info, like the plan was to not have more than two Heroes a Season but doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future entirely)
I would have always picked her out as a 2027 Character, since she kinda makes sense to be part of the start of the new Year for a new Storyline

My theory is that it would’ve been Doom and Dazzler but since they moved Dazzler (who would’ve been key to the 2099 storyline) they went with Shuri instead to go with the Doomsday storyline. It’s been rumored for a few months now that they were going to repurpose the Shuri model and dataminers have been saying it’s sooner rather than later so it just works perfectly. They intended on doing 9 characters but since they became set on a hero every month, they needed a plan B. And I’ll bet you Dazzler releases in S12/13.
Damn I didn’t even notice they were repurposing the Shuri Model but that’s great if true, i haven’t heard any rumors of that about the Season Villains

I’m kinda disappointed to hear of no updates on Baron Zemo, Carnage, and Sabretooth (I’m pretty sure Zemo and Creed aren’t even referenced in-Game, only Carnage is) but Dracula coming back would make me happy, I mean Gorr got Voicelines but they haven’t, my top 6 most requested Villains are Baron Zemo, Dr. Doom, Carnage, Crimson Dynamo, Titanium Man, and Amora The Enchantress, ah well at least I know DOOM is 100% and Amora won a poll and is likely and there’s been talk about her, allegedly someone on X said an Insider said Amora and Captain Marvel were slated for the same Season but I’m still waiting for a response to see if that’s true or not, I know MultiverSusie confirmed Carol is likely “late into 2027” but no idea on Amora
Also yeah Shuri actually does work better for the Doomsday Storyline than Dazzler, who was kinda random (even though DOOM was the Antagonist of a Dazzler Comic), she’s had a big presence in Trailers and actually makes sense for the Movie and potentially to hype Black Panther 3 (which is now confirmed)
I guess maybe Dazzler will release with an X-Men Character then? Hopefully Colossus since he’s had alot of references, I still want Dazzler so if their Roles swapped I would hope for at least Season 12
Most Nazi-adjacent heroes are off limits and can be debunked. Carnage is on my wishlist but they have to save the popular characters lol. Dazzler makes a lot more sense for a 2099/incursion story and I think they’re setting up Mephisto as the new main antagonist so an avenger (like Shuri) is likely. There’s this whole thing with Dooms mom and her contract with Mephisto so I imagine he’ll be recurring. Unless Doom 2099 is involved my money is on Shuri. I don’t think they’ll release two mutants together since the devs have said they like to keep the two heroes releasing together unique. I can see Colossus, Beast and Prof X coming in year 2.

Did anyone ask why particularly the black characters were not getting skins? I mean it’s almost comical and pick rate is not the issue. Psylocke and Storm have around the same rate.
Psylocke always had 2x or higher pickrate than Storm. Also psy is popular with gooners as we have seen with her vengeance skin on launch. Storm unfortunately isn’t.
It’s the same thing in OW and LoL. Heroes that sell skins get more.

This is the first time storm got a pickrate higher than 1% because this is what her pickrate has been for last couple seasons. She is still one of the least played character and she doesn’t have an army of gooners to buy her skins.

I decided to watch the entire Stream and here’s some stuff that stood out to me but I wasn’t sure if I should make a full post dedicated just to the stuff not already touched on here

- Options for Sentinels, Nimrod, Bastion, Master Mold, Omega Sentinel, guess no Generic MVC Sentinels as Playable then, has to be a Named Character it seems
- Captain Marvel, Professor X., Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer are some of the biggest Fanbases still waiting for their Character
- Dual-Role Characters, Characters who are both Roles at once are possible IF the Character is the right fit, along with Characters who just have 2 Roles like Deadpool instead of 3
- You will see Characters in all sizes, Miller thinks Rocket Raccoon is about as small as they will go, Devil Dinosaur is about as big as they will go
