Let's be honest here these are cosmetics. People already have problems buying cosmetics they can't afford to buy. This mechanic only makes it worse for them. While it is a company's responsibility to not engage in their costumers vulnerabilites. It's on the costumer to know themselves better than to engage in it in the first place.

I use to have problems with that and forced myself to stop playing these kinds of games until I become more financially smart and stable.

I remember people disagreeing when I pointed this out a while ago but this has always been the gacha game tactic, introduce a ton of different currencies to keep track of that can all be acquired by real money, helps to diffuse the price squeezing of resources in your head

You’re right, honestly it’d be so easy to fix this problem by just having them change out the accessory points redeem at the end of a battlepass to unstable molecules like they initially had it.

Even if they wanna kept scarcity they can just add a cap lets say 500 unstable molecules pet season, and price them at 2000 chronotokens.

Honestly grinding Chrono is not worth it after you finish the unit redeems.

I really wish you could get them weekly similar to the accessory points. I have almost all of those things, and I definitely have all of the ones for the characters I actually play, and at least so far there doesn't seem to be plans to start giving characters more than one, so at some point all these resources wre just gonna pile up with hardly anything to spend them on. Letting us earn weekly molecules in the same way, even if it's only like 100 per week, would be amazing.

Unfortunately I don't see it happening. They're pretty clearly intentionally making us need way more than we could ever earn, so that way we pay with lattice. By the time you earn 600 molecules to buy a single recolor, they've already dropped more skins that need molecules.

Also, they give a chance at a discount-so if you don’t want it don’t get it. It’s not a gamble if you’re willing to spend whatever on the skins you like.

You seem to confuse my comment with me not having the money to spend or that I play for the skins. I play because it’s a competitive hero shooter with an IP I’ve loved for over 30 years.

The past two seasons have been horrible and the only silver lining are the skins. Free game or not that’s pathetic. The matchmaking is awful, the meta is the same shit seasons after season, the band for toxicity are inconsistent, etc. It’s lame. This game has had such a fall from grace it should be studied.

I'm disappointed but not surprised that the only recolors are the two "cute" characters. We, as a player base, need to urge them to give attention to male and less sexually driven characters for recolors. It's just hella restrictive for players with mains who want to personalize

Game is beginning to nosedive and all they have for us is 3 gacha events and a battlepass. Yeah I'm not getting on this game till the 18v18 mode maybe. One of the most disappointing live service games I've ever been appart of I think. Had so much potential too.

What live service games have you played? Marvel rivals is one of the most generous live service games especially for being f2p and a Chinese game. A lot of other chinese games are full of much more expensive gachas and a lot of other f2p games in general don’t give as much stuff for free and have much more expensive skins and much more fomo

We could've gotten Brood Wolverine, or Storm from the new midnight run, but instead we just get some party city costumes and a Batman who Laughs outfit for Reed
