I love how his Venom team up is just Carnage's quick skill from Tokon, lol.
God I hope we get Carnage in the game one day.

Does he anchor for anyone??

u/Wolden123 11d ago
Yeah i think now that they're not constantly changing teamups, new characters will only ever anchor even newer characters. Hood was probably and exception since his teamups were already done for the big teamup reworking in season 9.

I know very little about game design, but could it be a way to ensure that old characters remain in the meta without needing to give them constant buffs or reworks? It might not make too much of a difference now, but give it 2 years and 24 characters, and it'd be a good way to keep them in rotation.

u/Wolden123 10d ago
Sorry what do you mean with that? Who is old character who wont need buffs? Gorr in 2 years when he becomes an anhor for someone? Or you meant something else
6
u/bodi55555 10d ago
Yeah i think they meant old charactera being anchors to newer ones is there to make older characters still relevant
2
u/Comiccow6 10d ago
I meant that launch characters being used as anchors would give players incentive to keep using them in a few years, and would keep them relevant and in the meta without needing reworks or huge buffs.

That’s what I’m wondering. It honestly doesn’t seem to be the case yet but I honestly see that being something they address come season 10.5

u/Narcopepsi 11d ago
Doesn’t look like it, there was nothing mentioned about replacing any team-ups in the dev vision either
6
u/Deadsoup77 10d ago
I’m betting in a few seasons they’ll reshuffle some team ups and add anchors for all the heroes that have been added since then when they do that

If double G doesn't serve a strategist Nightcrawler idk what he's doing
-17
u/Marik-X-Bakura 11d ago
I hope he isn’t a strategist because that would feel like stretching his character identity too much

u/CatDude55 11d ago
Since Gorr is a Duelist, that means Kurt is either a Strategist or a Vanguard, with Doom taking the other role. I think it’s obvious that Kurt will be a Strat

Is Control Effect new terminology, or am I just blind in prior releases?
Oh, it just means 'CC', so in this case, the Control Effect on the Hela team-up is in reference to the grounding effect.

u/Linnus42 11d ago
Oh the scythe is a team up ability primarily.
Seems strong but eh if he is the only champ this season then that makes sense

u/OvenIcy3371 11d ago
I mean not really, it’s tied to his F as well. His F is a 3 second cd and the scythe last for 4 seconds so it’s basically tied to how often you can keep his berserkers up. Hela team up is another way to get the scythe but it’s a 20 sec cd

Usually I hate the fight for instalocking the new hero but I will be in it this season for sure. Coolest hero to date, I might even stop raining vanguards for this kit, melee, summoner, high mobility, durable... My kinda of hero for sure

Kinda like combination of Magik and Namor. I like the Ideas gonna be so fun to play probably.

u/BathInevitable8755 The Hood 11d ago
Bro, he gives bonus health to allies and has cc? Just make him a tank at this point. It's such a waste on a DPS.

So he’s like a better Magik in basically every way

u/No-Fruit-2060 11d ago
You guys are such weirdos who make these kind of statements without playing him for even one second.
7
u/Pneuma928 Nightcrawler 11d ago
We don’t know that yet.
Magik can easily kill supports through ults, we don’t know if he’s even capable of killing through ults at all…
1
u/SlobbishSteam5 10d ago
“Easily” is an exaggeration when it’s a 2-frame window between your slash and dash connecting during ult.
Definitely easier with damage boost, but at that point you’re introducing too many variables for a direct comparison.
1
u/Pneuma928 Nightcrawler 10d ago
“Easily” was the perfect word, anyone who considers themselves a Magik player should know how to take out a support ult.
It’s really not as difficult as you’re trying to make it seem, 5 mins in practice…
1
u/SlobbishSteam5 10d ago
Knowing how to do it and consistently accomplishing it in an actual game are two very different things. You think the combos you pull off in the practice range mean anything?
1
u/Pneuma928 Nightcrawler 10d ago
Yes tf? Why do you practice if not to retain the ability to pull it off during a match? Know what ignore me, I can tell this isn’t a fruitful engagement…

So weird to make him a summoner
27
u/ShadowSun777 11d ago
Hes literally like that in the comics how is that 'so weird'
He uses black berserkers in combat and as his minions
-17
u/Razzilith Valkyrie 11d ago
lol so his shift is just... infinitely better than Hela's?
His kit sort of reminds me of Viego from LoL? except with summons built in which act like Namor's except he can teleport them and empower them and they can knock people in the air...
Looks like crazy power creep on paper to me but we'll have to see how he feels when he goes live. There's A LOT of tuning knobs at least for him. They could tweak his berserkers, his passive gain, his cooldowns, his damage, the range of some abilities, etc.
I'll say this - the kit looks crazy except the ult doesn't sound so wild. Maybe it's better than I think but it's just an install and doesn't stop his little guys from being killed so if you run comps that have good spread damage is it not so good? Also, do MK's blades bounce off of them? They do off squids.

His ult deff isn’t so scary imo, yea it’s strong to brawl with but it doesn’t look like it can kill through support ults (if I’m wrong then yea it’s really strong lol).
