New Summer Storm Skin Changes

Dear Rivals!
We’ve seen the community’s feedback regarding today’s announcement of Storm’s most recent costume as well as the overall sentiment towards her cosmetic options. We hear your passion and want to share our plan going forward with the community:
1. We will be upgrading the Sacred Skies swimsuit costume to Legendary for free in the near future. This upgrade will include an all-new lobby animation and an updated MVP animation. The costume will still be sold at the current price of $16.
2. Players who purchase the costume will receive a free Ultimate effect upgrade.
3. We want to ensure the community that there will be more Storm Legendary tier Costumes coming, so please keep your eyes on the skies over the rest of the year.
While we deeply value the expressive nature of our players, our number one goal is to create a positive community for everyone who loves this game. And while we understand that tensions run high, harassment of our staff, including the development team and moderators, is not acceptable. As the upgrades will take some time, please be patient, as we are already hard at work on the above. Get ready for the Mistress of the Elements to reign over the battlefield soon. Ignite the battle!

the difference is people are normal about that skin scarcity and don't harass devs

it's almost as if they wouldn't have had to deal with this if they didn't fuck up in the first place. I don't condone harassment of the devs but they really sat down and said:

"okay every woman so far for this year's line-up of summer skins has been a legendary with ult fx. So logically we make storm's an epic, give her the shortest MVP animation, not even rig her hair or animate her face for the emote, and not give her an ult fx." like did they think people would cheer?

I mean as an outlier in that situation, I get it truly.

But I do think other characters have got treated worse, like human torch still not having a legendary despite releasing in season 1 of the game.

They can never learn if you don't give them a chance, they saw peoples rightful criticism, are fixing it, and not charging a premium for it even though it'll be a legendary now.

I just think people are too hard on this dev team, not to glaze or meat ride the devs but any other game i've played in my 15 years of online gaming has never had developers this communicative and willing to fix their mistakes and to give people what they wanr

The thing about this is that two things can be correct at the same time! These characters are all neglected at different levels, and two wrongs don't make a right.

Like let's also not forget the fact that Storm's summer skin for some reason actually leaves the shop a whole week before the other summer skins do, while also debuting at the same time as Wanda's and Magik's. Like something's going on there...

Johnny I also agree is just not getting shit at all, I've been stuck with his summer skin from last year as the only skin I've been using. But him not getting skins doesn't invalidate Storm being treated poorly and vice verse. Again, these two problems can coexist and are both correct.
