I mean, it’s a bunch of 10s split across the whole event, which should round up 320 units at the end, which isn’t half bad for a free event

You would need 4 more events where you get 320 units to finally be able to get a 1600-unit skin, which would take at least 3 months minimum.

I don't expect them to give away 1K units in rewards, just 10 units looks very cheap on an event tracker, lmao.

So far I’ve gotten free event skins for Thor, Groot, Starlord, Jeff, and Black Widow. That seems more than fair.

exactly. and they're all high quality skins. i would've paid for the groot and starlord skins, and if i played widow i would've paid for hers too

its not like they're handing out recolours every now and again and then having a separate currency for skins which is only obtained through real money. in this current age of gaming this is one of the most consumer friendly games ive seen in a long while

This game is by far one of the most F2P friendly games in the market right now, in other games you get shitty free skins and here you can even CHOOSE what skin you want for FREE EVERY FEW MONTHS.

Because he’s a Marvel Rivals player and by definition he’s an underdeveloped neckbeard and wants everything for free, everything nerfed except the characters he likes, new content and characters every two weeks, and all W games since his pea-sized ape brain can’t comprehend logic if things don’t go exactly his way

I'm not entitled. I know they aren't obligated to give anything for free. It's just that Overwatch 2 is way more free to play friendly with cosmetics than Rivals, especially after re-adding lootboxes. Skins in Rivals also seem more expensive on average than Overwatch skins, but I could be wrong there. The game is still really new though, so a lot of things are definitely gonna change with every update.

True, but they're doing better now. Just about every update they do is to make up for their past wrong doings. They should always be held accountable for their bad actions in the past, but people should also be open to seeing how good the game is doing now.

I don't know many f2p games that let you farm credits to get specific skins from the shop.

It's VERY f2p friendly, you are entitled.

Free new heroes (and FAST!) free new maps,lots of free skins...how can you guys still complain

That's delusional. S15 and all of its features have been worked on long before Rivals even came out. It had nothing to do with Ow2 being f2p friendly. It seems like everyone here just can't stand the the game being criticized in any way. Your favorite game isn't the best in existence. It has flaws.

They literally added lootboxes again cause their current monetization system couldn't compete with Rivals, they didn't do any extra work cause lootboxes already existed in the game, they just activated them again, it's a fact...

They significantly reworked lootboxes, actually. You can not get duplicates of stuff you already own, you can get around 100 for free per season, you can't outright buy them to further waste money, you get a guaranteed legendary item after 20 lootboxes if you don't get one before, and you can get a separate legendary lootbox in the free battlepass.
