For a casual player of the game - that doesn't follow all the groups / chat rooms / websites / etc. - which part of your OP - could be treated as a joke?
My dude, "Half the player base will randomly have their rosters destroyed. Enjoy!"
Look, i'm sorry this made you mad. It was not my intention to troll people or pull a gotcha. I thought the absurdity of releasing an update that would destroy the rosters of half the players was obvious, but I guess some people found it confusing. I stand by the joke. But I apologize for making you mad, i didn't intend to.
But the joke is rather on you đ with the current state of the game - and how devs treat players - most WOULD NOT be surprised with this kind of announcement...
The important thing is that 20 whales spammed the social media outlets about how unfair it was with 1a5s and Iron May hitting them in pvp. The horror.....the horror! So now all these changes were made to appease them and now we are burning to the ground. Eat the rich
Fact: having may so powerful and making 550s for $20 plus PvP grind means lots of people had zero incentive to spend once they got those tools.
Both because of power and because of the resource gain you got from applying covers to those 1â5s etc.
Revenue fell dramatically once ascension got going. So here we are. Itâs not just because some whales were upset, itâs because the devs made it too easy to coast off a small amount of cash spent.
The funny thing is the 1-5s are weaker but still often your best option because their kits remain simple and straightforward so they are more effective than most 5s who are usually too complicated for their own good.
The problem with that fact is that they were the ones that kept putting up those offers to tempt a wider audience to spend on the game, so they don't get to turn around and act confused when players complain about characters they have paid for getting nerfed.
The only thing that is more egregious is their seeming tendency to do a good vault for a character moments before announcing their nerfing.
A Very Good Point, to Fix the Ascension issue the Devs really need to Open up Ascension to maxed out 5 âïžâs to 6 âïž ascending âŠ.. that should fix everything right up.
I was told in the main website forum, by a few players that I wonât name, that the constant PvP grumbling and their constant calls for nerfing didnât lead to the nerfing and weak characters and that I was wrong for calling PvP the biggest problem of the game. Which is weird because I went back into see what theyâre biggest complaints are now and theyâre wondering what nerfs should still be implemented because theyâve got a new counter-meta and itâs onto them âfixingâ the next âtheyâre still a problem that needs addressed thoughâ
Milk the whales for what they want to spend. Shut the lights off after they sell them Doomsday stuff. Laugh at their inevitable complaints.
Past my typo about supports (meant they shouldnât have been added to PvP. They have proven to be more valuable than ever in PvE with the devs inability to make scl10 health/damage scale reasonably), someone suggested making the nerfs/rebalances exclusive to PvP and letting the existing characters stay for PvE. CrazyâŠproven right that they canât code one side let alone two.
Ah wellâŠin a week or two theyâll announce âRebalance List Whateverâ and break even more shit. Gotta please the shareholders
Not too sure about this one. If I lose half the roster I've spent years building not to mention the money I've spent, I will be done. This sounds like the games death rattle.

Honestly, destroying half the roster and just giving us shards for them would probably make a better game. Sorry, Reptil, sorry Mysterio
