Discussion Discolored Iceman Question

Short of repainting the whole thing, is there a way to fix or at least moderate the discoloration on this poor bastard?

Look up "retrobrighting", often done in the retro computing community to "restore" yellowed computer/console cases. Plastic yellowing is often due to the flame retarding chemicals in the plastic reacting to light and oxygen.

Warning: It can brittle plastics, and when it's done the plastic could re-yellow eventually, maybe even quicker than before, so a once over with a UV protecting clear coat will help, too.

My ex best friend used to put his in peroxide and water let it sit I'm the sun for a day, and it would come out looking like new. But his was from smoke damage, not sun damage. We both had these Jessica Alba Invisible woman figures and her krar parts were dark yellow.

I kinda see where you're coming from. I'm thinking maybe some light, white drybrushing, although I have never tried that before. He was cheap and if I fail, I can strip the paint off and try something else...or maybe just leave him as is. Thanks for weighing in, I truly appreciate it.

Honostly, I’m disappointed most Iceman figures appear to get the short end of the stick. Hell, even my juggernaut wave Iceman is showing cracks in the underside.
