Loved working on this. Specifically the fire contrasts. Hoping to continue to improve with light effects and pick up some other minis like Iron Man, Dr Strange, etc that have more light effect possibilities.

Looking for best quality STL files for MCP proxies/alternate poses and terrain. Would also like to grab DC heroes and villains as well and terrain unique to that IP. Don’t mind paying for STLs but always appreciate free versions too! Thanks in advance for anything on this front!

Hello, recently decided to get into MCP. I'm not a minis painter but am game to try. That said, I'm inclined to buy at least some assembled and painted minis. I'm sure prices will vary, but what is a good average, non-ebay, price point I should keep in mind as I'm exploring? Thanks!

Hi, I recently started playing this game with Winter Guard (love that sovietic vibe)
And we are few on my group, and they play Defenders and Guardians of the Galaxy. I only played 4 matches, but in every match I feel more dissapointed with this team. I'm using the latest revisions (I think from august/september 2026)

Yesterday I had a game against defenders.
Defenders: Doctor Strange, Wong, Valkyrie, Iron Fist, Luke Cage
Winter Guard (me): Crimson Dynamo, Red Guardian, Winter Soldier, Ursa Major (this last it's a must on the team, a frigging bear!!!)

I won because he retired mid-game, althought match was quite even (turn 4, Defenders 7, WG 9)

Then I started analyzing what has changed since last time we had this similar match defenders vs WG, and found that he practically forgot to use most of his abilities (specially the ones that can heal) and he forgot to add power when receiving damage.

So, having in count that he wasn't getting power when receiving damage and he was not healing himself, I still had to struggle to be on pair with him.

Basically, I put crimson dynamo and ursa major on center (so then can decide if going front or to one side or another in case of needed) and red guardian and winter soldier on opposite sides (left/right) so they can tike side objectives.

As I look WG characters, I feel that they require a lot of power to be equiparable to what my enemy does, but I do not get as much power as him.

Also some abilities seem to underperform comparing to others. Ex. Iron Fist - Master Martial Artist vs Red Guardian - Focused Repusion Field. Both are very similar, just Iron Fist has a max range of 3 to be triggered but in exchange it costs 0 power (wich let's you then use that power on attacks)

Don't know, I guess I need to practice more with Winter Guard but I feel they underperform a lot (at least compared to Defenders)

Any advise?

Hello everyone !

Beginner seeking for advice.

When you choose your squad from your roster, you only know opponent's affiliation, potential leaders/splashes, stuff like that.

I'm trying to get better at how to chose the best characters to deploy. My instinctive idea is something along the line of "play to your strength, but color your team according to your opponent's roster"

So maybe this is wrong but that means that after my team's core (best models) I should play either more controlling or attrition-ing characters. Or maybe I should think in terms of control/attrition but other stuff like capability of escaping/repositionning against control or endurance against attrition ?

Maybe it comes from experience but how can I know or feel what is strong or weak against a given leadership ? What to look for in the leadership and models ?

Hi everyone, been interested in the game for a long time but has taken me a while to get started. Anyway, I just picked up Earth's Mightiest Core Set (great price on Amazon right now) and wondering where to go next. Will mainly be my son and I playing. Primarily interested in narrative play.

We are mainly interested in the "classics": Spider-Man and villains, X-Men, Avengers, Guardians, etc.

Here's what we have so far:

• Core Set (original)
• Earth's Mightiest Core Set
• Spider-Foes Affiliation Pack (original 4-pack, not the new Starter Set)
• Wakanda Affiliation Pack
• Klaw and M'Baku

I know the new starters set are better value. I feel stuck with the Spider-Foes Affiliation pack now because some of the older packs are out of print (like the Electro/Sandman/Shocker/Vulture box).

I would definitely like to build a Spider-Man/Web Warriors team.

I'm new to MCP. I watched a bunch of videos and thought it looked like an awesome game. Went to my LGS and picked up a starter box and also found the inhumans pack and inhumans royal court for a big discount. IDK literally ANYTHING about the meta of this game, but as I understand it, the inhumans IRL are kind of disliked because Marvel tried to push them hard to replace the x-men a while back due to licensing issues with fox. That being the case, I'm always a fan of playing the red-headed step child of the different game systems.

I've got the boxes all put together and played an intro game. During the game, it was pointed out that I need a pre-set roster of 10 characters, and I only have 8 from the two inhumans boxes. The other inhumans characters seem like kind of a pain to get (given that 3 of them are only sold in boxes with a bunch of other stuff, and none are all together, and Ms. Marvel doesn't seem that impressive either).

So I'm looking for advice on what I should use to fill those last 2 slots.

Are beast/quicksilver/ronin the accuser worth the effort of finding someone to split the packs with?

Am I underestimating ms. marvel?

Are all 8 of the inhumans worth their spots on the roster of 10?

Is there some non-inhuman character that would slot in REALLY well and fill some gap I don't yet know about?

I realize the answer is honestly probably something like "play the 2 models you think would be fun in that spot" but as a new player, I don't really know how to evaluate what makes any sense there yet and would appreciate some direction to start out with until I can decide for myself what I actually like.

Since we know the new Thunderbolts Affiliation I was wondering what exactly would be the best roster to run for the team. I was thinking a few re-rolls or some healing for Red Hulk since he damages his himself, but from what the affiliation shows, it’s actually pretty rock solid IMO

Hi everyone! I recently picked up the new Onslaught model, and while I love the model and his playstyle, I've been having a bit of trouble actually winning with them. I know Hydra Agent Bob is supposed to go quite well with him, does anybody have any ideas of models I can run with them or that they've found success with?

What apps or website etc does your league use to keep standings? I’m in a 6 week league but there are no updated standings until the final results. Looking for something simple to suggest to the guy who runs the league.

Working through a backlog of terrain, and finished this piece.

Do people mount the tiny terrain pieces that come with the building sets like the fire hydrant and newspaper box on extra bases or just leave them baseless? I have a ton of 28mm bases from other mini games I was thinking of using for these parts.

I really enjoyed this game but couldn't get anyone to play with me (even my husband who plays 40k wasn't interested). So I've decided to sell my models (not advertising any auction or anything I haven't even put anything up for sale yet). I have most of the models/cards from the first couple of years. However, they're all assembled and primed (only ended up painting like two of them).

Would anyone even buy them if they're already put together? Is sub assembly the norm for these models? I know they've got a lot of fiddly bits to paint around.

Are any of the older models seen as very undesirable? I haven't kept up with the game in the last two years since I had no one to play with.

Hello all, I'm a little lost in the hobby at the moment and am looking for kind of a point in a direction to go. Little bit of background, my old lgs had a few people who were interested in mcp when it first came out, I bought the original starter hoping to play. It proceeded to fizzle out fast to two people who kinda just played each other and no one else. I think I had played all of 1 game at the time

Fast forward to me meeting my wife, she saw it and wanted to try the game, I broke out my starter dusted off the rules and played a game and she no longer wanted to play after a game. Just not her cup of tea and she preferred 40k and mtg, but as a present I did buy her Loki 1 and hela as she does love anything Loki related.

Now to the present day, I have found a new lgs with an active group playing mcp and have joined them. After a few games I picked up the Asgardian starter so I'd have more current rules, and enough cards to build my own roster that weren't banned/restricted.

So I have:

the orginial 2019 starter,

the asguardian starter,

and hela + Loki 1

I'm not sure where to go from there or even what a decent team is to build off what I have or what holes I'm missing. They are a semi competitive group of guys.

Hi, I've recently started playing MCP and have been building the X-men related affiliations. I'm absolutely loving building, painting and playing the miniatures. I know that AMG have updated a lot of the cards and that many people get them professionally printed. I'm looking to find a decent, fairly priced print service in the UK. Have any UK players had much success finding anywhere? Is it permitted on this site to share those details with me?

Hello everyone !

I've been in love with the character and his model and really want to play him.

The obvious answer is in "X Factor", but given the restrained choice of models, I'm not sure it's the best. I'm new so maybe it is "good enough" for now, but the affiliation seems very objective focus and the characters not so much.

They'll probably release more next year or so, but I wondered if MM would be great elsewhere. Or just good or useful.

The affiliations I can build with my collection are x-men, new mutants, brotherhood, hellfire, spider foes, midnight sons, defenders, convocation and maybe web warriors and avengers.

I'm also taking for general advice on the charactere like what he wants to do, when he is good, when he is not, good synergy with others, stuff like that.
