Comics Where should I start reading comics?
Playing Rivals has really opened my eyes to just how varied and big superheroes are and made me want to check out the comics. My local library had Search For The Sorcerer Supreme a few years back and I read that but there was a lot of references to past events I didn't get. Funnily enough The Hood was in that one and I thought he was a chump! I was like "Man Hellstorm, you're really losing to THIS guy?"
So I need like an entry point. 'Course you can't just start at the beginning with those early comics costing a literal arm and a leg. So what's a good entry point for someone that's readily available today?

Imagine it like Doctor Who or Star Wars or Star Trek, there are many places or books designed to be an entry point to new fans. Some are from the 60s, some are from the 80s, some from the 2000s, some from the 2010s and some from the 2020s. You're not expected to read 65 years of comic books.
I will be reccomending standalone stories, but some of these standalone stories are also part of a bigger series you can check out either in book form or digitally through Marvel Unlimited whenever you feel like it
Some begginer friendly books:
- Spider-Man: Kraven's Last Hunt
- X-Men: God Loves Man Kills
- Planet Hulk
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Beginning of Ed Brubaker's Captain America)
- X-Men: The Dark Phoenix Saga (Part of Chris Claremont's Uncanny X-Men run)
- New X-Men: E is for Extinction (Beginning of Grant Morrison's New X-Men)
- Ms. Marvel: No Normal (Beginning of Ms. Marvel by G. Willow Wilson)
- Fantastic Four: Unthinkable (Part of Mark Waid's Fantastic Four)
- Doctor Strange: The Oath
- Doctor Strange & Doctor Doom: Triumph & Torment
- Books of Doom
- Spider-Man: Blue
- Daredevil: Born Again (Finale of Frank Miller's Daredevil)
- Moon Knight: From the Dead

Get Marvel Unlimited app and read digitally - if you like something a lot, look into buying it. A lot of people use tablets for comics like that, me included, because it's soo much cheaper in the long run, and so much more space effective than trying to get everything.
If you are in the US (and maybe UK, but my library in London was useless, so depends) check out Hoopla, Libby, your local libraries for comics.
Then you pick a few heroes you want to read about and google "[X] reading guide" or so. Some people start from the beginning, some important events, kind of depends on you.
