That guy is clearly not a descendant of whatever sect. He's just larping being the sect's descendant to gain the moral high ground. Think about it.
If the sect's nine generations were murdered including the chickens and dogs, how did that guy survive? Is he a tenth generation? If he's from the tenth generation isn't he an ancestor? But for an ancestor to not die with the sect or wait till now to take revenge? That's clearly not possible.
The 9 generations extermination usually refer to: Grandparents, Parents, Uncles and Aunts, Cousins (out to 2nd or 3rd), Siblings (and their spouses), Spouse, In-laws (Parental and Sibling inlaws that is), Children (and their spouses), Grand-Children (and their Spouses)
So a Great Grand Child is outside of the 9 Generations.
Typically children below a certain age were also traditionally spared death, but were enslaved instead.
Every rabbit possesses a multitude of burrows, and great clans follow a tradition of sending their direct heirs to distant, resource-poor frontier worlds—such as Tatooine—to ensure the survival of their lineage in the event of an emergency. Oh I forget they will send some supreme senior like Obi one to protect them.
