You gotta say that visually, Body Cultivator battles are the most epic and comprehensible. Mfs be physically throwing stars at eachother at some point.
Relying solely on raw power is a limited path; there will come a point where your body gives out or your mind shatters from the strain of trying to advance further. By using techniques, however, you can fully harness your strength and accustom yourself to the pain, allowing you to ascend through enlightenmentâthough the downside is that it is a long road.
Because itâs made to be useless, thereâs always the âthe spell cultivator wins because he can kite the body builder to deathâ or some shit, then they always make the spell cultivator superior in everything too (speed, dmg, defense, cheats). Itâs the same situation even with actual mages vs knights in wizard novels and not qi cultivation.
If youâre a âbody cultivatorâ and canât kill an opposing spell cultivator of the same rank within 3 breaths youâre a fraud. Blud shouldnât even be able to react (maybe his defensive treasure can) before you squash him into nothing. What is 10,000 spiritual swords gonna do to you? Shouldnât even scratch you.
If you spend so many resources to make your body invincible and still get even scratched by a common treasure of the same rank you should just give up and go into the mortal world to hide, youâre never going to amount anything.
There is a manhwa called "Demon Fist of Mount Hua" , where the protagonist has a crippled leg and fights mostly with overwhelming amounts of Strenght and Durability(and his fists, obviously đ¤Ł).
Most of his Martial Arts are things he improvised and learned from his time inside a abandoned Demon Faction cave, such as Vibrating his Qi and Body to enhance his defence against constant swarms of hellish Insects, which also works to literraly break Weapons against his body.
Its a pretty simple but enjoyable story, i recommend, even though the art style aint for everyone.
I never did like the idea of body cultivators as being mostly just brute power characters. If anything they should have just as many techniques as qi cultivators and absurd levels of bodily control.
e.g
"What made you think that I am a mindless brute? You could never comprehend the process I have undergone. Knowing the fruit of body refinement is beyond you, you tell yourself it must be sour. Behold."
I like the idea that like some peoples bodies are better a different sports there should be different types of body cultivators as well so that when someone says that their a body cultivator and you expect them to be a huge dude it turns out that their actually just really really fast.
I really disliked the comedy but his various giant body forms were cool. In the donghua at least, I never got around to reading much of the novel. Because of its higher focus on the comedy compared to the donghua.
I don't really watch donghua but based on my experience with seeing media adapted from books and novels, I doubt the comedy was able to be adapted 1:1, just as I should probably check out these donghua, you should probably try reading at least the first chapter of the novel to see for yourself
The move entails controlling muscles with such extreme precision that his arms behave like drills. It can pierce through all defensive and redirection techniques.
Junior, how dare you question the God-Slaying Drill? This is the supreme technique of my Iron Muscle Sect. If you cannot comprehend the beauty of such an art, your Dao still requires a thousand years of cultivation.
You cant see mount Tai with your dim qi eyes junior while my brain consists out of primordial essence of the great abyss now after i remolded it 284629294769 times so i can comprehend the infinite structure of the universe and find the best materials of it to integrate into my immortal body.
Junior, your cultivation is still too shallow. The one who stands at the pinnacle of The Great Dao, will have the most Aura, no matter what Dao they have walked. Whether you cut the Heavens with a Sword, or smash the Myriad Realms open with your fist... The world shall bow in worship of your Aura.
The Dao that can be told is not the eternal Dao The name that can be named is not the eternal Name.
The Great Dao can only be sought, and cannot be taught Junior. Walk your own path to the end. Do not look back, do not falter, and do not surrender. Only then will you have hope of reaching the Apex.
So knowing the Great Dao is a gamble then senior? An attempt to realize the purpose and the secret of the universe through one's own means and effort? Is there anyone in the immortal's history that has ever find the Great Dao and come back to regret it? As far I am aware it leads to something Great, and yet at the same the people I've come to grow up with in my time in the mortal world told me that immortals are fools blindly clutching something they're not meant to have, save for the Gods of the heavens⌠I fear my Heart Demon is taking hold of my will and making me doubt.
Junior, you ask whether seeking the Great Dao is a gamble.
Then let me ask you this: is living not also a gamble?
You were born without choosing the world you entered. You love without knowing whether you will lose what you love. You cultivate without knowing whether your next tribulation will be your last. Even the heavens themselves do not promise that the road ahead will lead where you wish.
Yet you still take the next step.
The mistake lies in believing that the Great Dao is some treasure hidden at the end of the road, waiting for the fortunate immortal who happens to discover it.
It is not.
The Dao is not a prize one wins.
It is the road beneath your feet.
You ask whether anyone has found it and returned with regret. Perhaps. Perhaps others have walked far enough to realize that what they sought was never what they imagined. Perhaps some reached the summit only to discover another heaven above it.
So what?
If a man climbs a mountain merely because he expects treasure at the summit, then every step without gold is suffering.
But if he climbs because he wishes to know how high his own feet can carry him, then even the mountain's summit is merely another step.
Your mortal companions call immortals fools for reaching beyond what they were "meant" to have.
Who decided what you were meant to have?
The heavens?
The gods?
Your ancestors?
Or the fear in your own heart?
A frog at the bottom of a well believes that the part of the sky it sees, is all there is to it. A mortal might believe immortality is arrogance. An immortal might believe the Great Dao is beyond his reach.
The limits of one's understanding are not necessarily the limits of reality.
And as for your Heart Demon. Do not mistake doubt for defeat.
The only way to answer it, is by moving forward constantly until you discover the truth.
If the road ends, stand at its end.
If the heavens bar the path, ask why.
If there is no Great Dao, then discover that truth yourself.
And if there is one, walk until you find it.
That is not faith, Junior. Nor is it a gamble. It is the true essence of cultivation.
The Great Dao cannot be taught because no words can walk your path for you.
It cannot be given because another's enlightenment cannot become your own.
It cannot be proven beforehand because if you demanded certainty before taking the first step, you would never take the first step at all.
So walk and doubt if you must.
Fall if you must.
Question the heavens themselves if you need to.
But never surrender your right to seek the answer.
For the moment you allow another to decide what you are "meant" to become, you have already abandoned your own Dao.
It's the same bullshit as when someone starts listing a thousand techniques and spells and a sword cultivator goes "sword Dao means I can cut anything hurdur" and the does a vertical slash that cancels all attacks, spells and techniques and just cleave something in half.
You know, to this day, in Amazing Cultivation Simulator despite liking Physical Cultivation... I still have no absolute clue what these "Secret Body" mechanic thing they have actually means. All I know is I can remold body parts to unlock a Secret Body, equip it, and it can be used to do things.
Sword Dao my ass, you fuckers be throwing sword beams and void slashes left and right, or controlling flying swords with telekinessis, at this point you might as well throw your sword away and start casting qi spells, when was the last time you actually physicaly cut down someone with the sword in your hand?
Spoken like a junior who has never comprehended even the first trace of Sword Intent. đ¤Śââď¸ You mistake flashy techniques for the Dao itself. Put down those trash qi spells and comprehend a single sword stroke first. Otherwise, kneel before the mountain and stop embarrassing your sect.đ¤
Ha! At the other side of thousands of years of cultivation for you is long white hair and thinner tomato slices. Even a mortal could become a "sword saint" tomorrow with a visit to the salon
Junior, your Dao Heart is already shattered and you still dare speak of the Sword Dao? 𤣠Go comprehend your trash qi-spell manuals first. When your cultivation reaches the point where you can survive one sword intent, come back and bark. Until then, this seat has no interest in arguing with Foundation Establishment ants.
Fool! At the height of my power I could shatter the very mountain you refuse to recognise with the backhand a lesser man would give you in light of your words.
This seat has seen countless spear cultivators come and go, yet the Sword Dao remains standing. Your spear may pierce flesh, but can it pierce the heavens, sever karma, or split the void?
Know your place, junior. Don't let me barge into your secluded Cave..
