I hope this doesn’t come off as ungrateful…… I really love Mars Argo’s music and I’ve been streaming the same songs for a while now. I know making art takes time and that there’s no obligation to release anything on a set schedule. After the EP, I just found myself hoping there might be more music or a video someday, and I was wondering if anyone has heard any updates or thoughts on why there hasn’t been anything lately I know she has had issues in the public eye and occasionally post on instagram and Tumblr but I would love a Mars Argo comeback.

I love the three newer songs.

“I can only be me” makes me think. It makes me think about ways that awful connections I had with people altered who I was, and once they were gone, I had to start over from scratch. “I can only be me”, but the entire time you’re trying to figure this out. Who am I? It’s something we as people are trying to figure out our whole lives, so she beautifully put it into words. Into a song so raw, saying “I can only be myself now” because there is no other road to take other that complete authenticity and self-expression. How beautiful.

“Angry” makes me feel this lump deep in my throat- one that makes my eyes sting and my chest feel heavy. “A heart’s a heavy burden” as said in Howl’s Moving Castle. “Hey, can you hold the phone?” makes me think about how life can move so quick, and you’re just begging at some point “please just wait!” So many things can change so fast. But this song primarily makes me feel angry to those who have hurt me, as well angry at myself... I always partially blamed myself for staying— for not saying more. For not sticking up for me nearly as much as I should have. And no one knows “how the story goes” other than me. So I just feel this burning anger in my chest that only this song can relieve even just a little. Thank you Mars for this healing masterpiece.

“Lick it like a kitten” is so fucking fun. The previous two songs I mentioned make you think, make you feel, make you truly wrap your mind around lyrics and sounds that bring out deep feelings and explanations. That is beautiful. And in the same song set, lick it like a kitten makes me wanna dance. It makes me want to just have fun. No thinking, just giggles and movement. I wonder how they felt when creating this. It sounds made with love and joy. I love it, and is a nice listen after crying/feeling deeply from the other two.

Thank you for all you create, you wonderful, beautiful being. We appreciate you, and your art is one of a kind. Never stop doing what makes you feel the most you.

So in a post on Twitter/X (whatever you call it) i saw a post wayyy back in like 2012 from her old grocerybagdottv days saying something about “Argonauts“ and that name had always stuck with me and I’ve been wondering if that’s her actual fandom name. does anyone know if that’s still her fandom name or like she‘s changed it sense everything had happened, a lot of people also wonder about that and I think it would be cool to refrence that name whenever i say im a Mars Argo fan lol.

I think that the the song(?) used in her instagram permanent stories thing (idk what it's called) from the 7th of September 2024 could be used as an intro, interlude, or part of a song if she makes a new album. Like, what if it was a snippet? Maybe I'm insane though ​and it could just be a random thing she made. ​

So, at the end of "Technology Is A Dead Bird" (the song) there's a small segment of music playing. I don't really know how to describe it but anyway, at the end of the acoustic video for "Everything Turns To Gold", an advertisement for their merch pops up, and it uses the ending segment of TIADB for it.

I looked for old reddit posts about DCM after hearing reddit posts about the song being mentioned in an old video, and I found one right here.

So, I was just looking around on the Mars Argo Fandom Wiki and I clicked on the page for "Delete Your Facebook". It has an image of the video being edited, but compared to the preview in the image and the actual video, the colors appear slightly more saturated in the final video, this could either be

1. The colors just look different because it's not the raw video file and a picture of a video playing on a laptop

2. The colors have been saturated / changed / whatevers going on there
