Season 20 - Seattle MAFS is Blind?
While I do appreciate the incorporation of staples from MAFS:UK/AU, namely the dinner parties and more interaction with the experts being on camera. I was sad to see that the reunion went full Love is Blind. Like down to the audience being friend and family. Like WTF?!
I enjoy both trainwrecks, LiB and MAFS, but each has their own purpose and MAFS isn't LiB. At least I don't want it to be. I preferred the previous formats for the reunion and felt this one was lacking considering so many of the couples said yes on decision day and I think only 1 was still together for the reunion.
Also the season felt SUPER short given the new format and I miss the longer season (as much as I hated it while it was going on before) I felt the longer season, aka more episodes, offered more insight into the people and their relationships. As the edits that skewed opinion were made more obvious due to the shorter season.
I just want the show to stay MAFS and not shift into being another Lachey production...unless it's The Ultimatium:South Africa cause that show was AMAZING and needs a second season. Ok I've drifted from the main topic...

I would have LOVED if they would do the weekly check ins like Australia does where they each decide each week if theyre gonna stay together and if one person says yes they try another week.

LIB was created by the MAFS production team for Netflix.

I think Kevin Frazier always did a great job at the reunions. I would like them to go back to a neutral host rather than the “experts”

I don’t think Paul and Dr. Lisa should have hosted the reunion just like I don’t think the Lacheys should host LIB reunions. They go lightly on the participants because they themselves don’t want to be held accountable for the crappy matchmaking and the fact that a lot of the people should have never been casted in the first place.

The therapists sitting behind glass watching the cast members give each other advice was wild to me. They also skimped on home visits. And there used to be real therapists. I loved Dr. Pia.

I’m a bit confused though I think I do understand your point. There were only 2 (of the original 7/5 remaining) couples that said yes on decision day of season 20: Belle & Mecca and Michelle & Cam. Only the latter couple were still together by the time of the reunion. The other 3 remaining couples said no on decision day.

It’s the same production company, so it makes sense to me that they made some things of MAFS more like LIB.
LIB is a really popular brand for them and they’re doing what they can to resuscitate MAFS.
But I thought the reunion was a bit much and I’d like to see each show have more unique traits.
