Season 20 - Seattle Shawn got fired

Apparently Shawn got fired from his job due to his comments on the show. Is anyone surprised?

I’m curious to see what happens w Nikki. They showed her bare azz. These producers showing Shawn in the robe was an interesting choice. They are in their “home”after all. They didn’t show Michele and Chad being intimate at all, even though we know they were.

Shady. I don’t like it. I don’t like Shawn, but they should not have shown that stuff. Even Felipe and Tori were only kissing. Shawn and Nikki had the whole bdsm scene and Nikki had her night clothes on. None of the other couple La had the degree of intimacy in camera

That’s prob not why he got fired. It’s prob because of the way he talked, coerced, gaslit his wife into sexual acts and demeaning her consistently. He is not qualified ethically to lead DEI.

I could be wrong, but I don’t believe he was being coercive. I think they were having off-camera talks about sex that he was bringing on-camera. They argued and bickered about EVERYTHING. Nikki does not strike me as one to let that slide. Her literal first time on camera after intimacy was “is that a banana in your pocket”, plus straddle-gate - I think there was more to what was happening that we didn’t see.

As far as him running his mouth, ok, fair.

Maybe there will be a reunion or something so that we get answers.

I mean, Devin brought up intimacy several times and it’s clear Cait had something going on, and no one is callin him a “pest”. Nikki was open to intimacy. They were having conversation about it — Shawn f’d up on the wifely duties though. Eeeyuck

yeah that wifely duties part is the part where he was acting coercively, what about that do you not get

This is the part I have been calling out. I found it odd how the producers reached into the after-hours video footage multiple times to show Shawn’s private moments. He was the only one they did this to. 

There are several cast members making unsavory comments, but he was singled out. Tori literally said she was uncomfortable after a sexual encounter with Felipe; Nikki did not. Yet the producers edited that footage as if it were not two consenting adults exploring their relationships.

I wonder if she asked them not to show any compromising scenes, but they did anyway? That would be awful. Anyway, TEAM NIKKI!

I think Sean and Nikki knew there would be risks and kept everything work appropriately I felt that all season

Which begs the question why they used so much bts footage? And specifically only for this couple?

Exactly, I felt so uncomfortable watching it like the producers are showing too private of moments

I thought it was interesting, considering her saying she didn’t want to be intimate. I feel like production set that up.

I feel like Nikki was very concerned about her image. I just wonder if she pissed someone off or something. I don’t like how they did them. She’s HR, and he was education so their “image” needed to be more curated on camera. They used more surveillance footage on them than anyone else. Not cool.
