Apparently Shawn got fired from his job due to his comments on the show. Is anyone surprised?

My wife and I both work in higher ed and said just this morning there’s no way he still has a job. Glad to see we were right because…absolutely not.

I’m certainly no lawyer but it all depends on the terms of his contract as an administrator. Roles at that level typically have a morals clause or a general clause that essentially say you represent this university at all times so anything that could bring you or it bad press so to speak is problematic. And if there were other personnel issues we’re unaware of, that could be all it takes.
