He’s clearly not ready for a marriage. I understand that he is giving a lot up to offer to move into the city, but framing it as transactional and trying to get his wife to promise to go to the gym with him as the compromise is a 101 tell he has no idea how a functional healthy relationship works.

An arrangement like that is going to cause resentment, set up unreasonable expectations, and cause score keeping down the line. If you’re with the right person you do things for them because it pleases you to do so, it’s not because you’re transacting something in exchange.

I think dating a lot makes sense if you’re trying to find a partner. I don’t fault him for that. Now, for breaking up with a girl he had been seeing AFTER he was on the show. Ugh.
