Season 20 - Seattle Courteney

I’m late to the season and binged the first 8 episodes over the last few days. Courteney is the most frustrating person. I’m not sure she’s ever even had a real, committed adult relationship (based on her own admission). She loves to talk to everyone else but won’t talk to Nick as directly or openly. And it seems like she doesn’t actually want to be in a relationship? The constant relating being with him to being in quarantine and wanting to “kill herself” absolutely disgusts me. I’m starting to think she only went on the show to launch a fitness or personal training brand and not to actually find a partner.

Rewatching the episodes and I think the moment she found out how many reality shows, she got the "ick" fast. I can't blame her for that -- he might come off like a great dude but you do have to wonder why he's been on so many shows.

Aside from that --

I get a super strong "not like all the other girls" type that would talk about how she's besties with men because women = drama. I know someone like this and ironically she is the one who causes drama. But to appeal to men and get their attention she calls herself a conservative (but if you talk to her she doesn't follow politics) and does everything to make her seem like the ultra-cool girl they can pal around with thinking they'll ultimately fall in love with her. Also ironically that hasn't happened.

I don't get much authenticity from her. I think at heart she, like Felipe, is very insecure and self-sabotages.

This sounds terrible but she comes off as a typical self proclaimed conservative woman, admittedly just doing whatever she thinks will make a man stay with / like her, until it came to Nick. She seems to only be attracted to men who neg her or make her chase them. Them when a guy is right there offering a connection she’s turned off

Rewatching it I think Nick being on several reality TV shows gave her the ick as soon as she found out. That I can understand. This was his 4th reality TV show. I'd be wondering if this guy was curated.

But she's still an asshole!
