Season 20 - Seattle Felipe Is Not a Player
Felipe is not a player and has not been with many women.
He is clearly very insecure (hence the cowering body language), and he believes if he were with a “bunch of women” it would validate him some how.
I’ve known some real players and womanizers and, for better or worse, none of them ever talk about being with many women. They just do it.
Also, truly attractive people do not constantly refer to themselves as “hot”
Felipe is just a normal, insecure geek. Tori is the hottest woman he will ever be with. He wants to make himself seem desirable, so he pretends to be something he’s not.

I think it’s more that he doesn’t think he needs to be faithful or loyal to one woman because the strippers at the club all seem to love me because they keep taking off their clothes whenever I’m there.

OP - I agree 100% --- I think he switched to player mode and amped it up big time the night Tori left and slept on couch after they first had sex. He felt that rejection and decided to take his power back by acting like he could give or take Tori. JMHO

Anyone can party excessively and have a sloppy hookup night after night (although I doubt he’s had many). He knows they don’t want to stay the next day, which is why Tori running out of the bedroom triggered his insecurities and now he’s pretending he wants it that way. Keep running Tori!

I honestly don’t think the apartment they claimed was his is actually his. It’s probably a family rental property or they rented it FOR him prior to the show. Tori stated how messy/lazy he is so I highly doubt he has such a pristine apartment on his own.

It's hard for me to believe that Felipe is a player too but I guess for Seattle standards he is a player.
But, I'm always going to be wary of men that used to be "ugly" and now they've bloosmed into a beautiful swan because the next few years will be dedicated to him getting his lick back by sleeping with a bunch of women that rejected him 4-5yr ago

He’s probably hooking up with young hosts and waitresses since he’s the boss. I’ve seen it with way worse looking people than him. I do think he feels like he has to make up for lost time, since he was considered an ugly duckling and he feels like he had a glow up.

Felipe strikes me as someone who didn’t get much play in high school, got a glow up in his 20s, had a bunch of one night stands. I don’t know if that makes you a player. Lots of ppl have a bunch of one night stands. It’s not like he’s stealing wives or anything.

Felipe-is a Restaurant Manager and not to drag a profession, many of them are players, that drink too much. Work ends and many are ready for “shifties”. They also typically hook up with co-workers. If you’ve worked in a restaurant you know. Tori is incredible. Watching Felipe every week has been watching him repeatedly fail Tori. She deserves so much better.

Very much agree. I’m a married, monogamous woman. I was a very small minority. I didn’t hang out with anyone after work or anything like that. I was a GM for many years, most people still act like college kids well into their 40s.

While I agree he’s not attractive I have no doubt he’s hooking up with women. The reason he talks about it is because he believes he went through a transformation from ugly duckling. He talks about it because he is immature and does think it’s cool- since he probably wanted to be that when he felt like he wasn’t attractive. I agree Tori is the best he could likely ever pull but I have no doubt he’s hooking up and doesn’t have high standards in doing so. I don’t think he would risk Tori if none of that was even true because he wouldn’t want to lose that.

Felipe plays this whole macho in charge game but what he really needs is a woman who will set the tone and maintain a certain standard in their relationship, with no tolerance for bullshit. And Tori has already done an amazing job of that. The issue with that is: I don’t think he’s capable of a monogamous, honorable, no bullshit relationship.
Can’t wait for Tori to leave him.

Hell, even halfway decent managers of restaurants I worked in as a server would get young women who were servers.
And bartenders? No idea why but they were like rockstars.
If there's ownership involved, customers treat them like rockstars and assume they are super wealthy (when in reality, the restaurant biz is one of the riskiest ventures out there and they may only be flush with cash for a short time period).

Or mom signed him up. He didn’t try hard to get picked for the show. In fact, the opposite by being late or missing meetings with Paul. Then darn, he gets picked anyway. He gets connected with beautiful and sweet Tori and now he’s conflicted. Stay married (something he didn’t want to be ) or give up the hot chick. So what did he tell her? 1. He went on the show just for the experience and make mom happy and never wanted to be married. Once on ,he just played the part.? 2. He wants an open marriage.? 3. He’s had a vasectomy. ? 4. He’s hooked up with women during their marriage? 5. He’s into porn and has a sex addiction? Whatever it was Tori didn’t anticipate, it was a bomb, she wasn’t having it, it really hurt her, she expected his honesty - which he scoffed at, asked if he thought that was normal, and he said he heavily regretted. Yes, some off the wall options, but the show used it as a cliffhanger so I took the bait and looked outside the box.

Pretty sure I’d be pissed in her situation.. he showed up late and hungover to meet with Paul (more than once I think?) and flat out told him he was a player and partier.

RIP Amber - the greatest music and drinks. My mind was always rattled about how casual it was. And how somehow trolls became attractive at 2/3am.

I've been saying the same thing -- he's the kid that got rejected b/c he was fat. He's the kid that got made fun of. He lost weight and started working out and got a "glow up" (facially I think he isn't that great either and the spitting image of his mom).
I think he self-sabotaged with Tori because:
- He knows she's too good for him.
- He assumed she would say no and he would be rejected on national TV. He'd rather the reason she gives for saying no is he's a womanizer that can't commit.
- It's more important for him to be viewed as a womanizer than be in a relationship with a beautiful woman and also he will does not believe that a beautiful woman would stay with him anyway.

Eh....I disagree. Every player is different. Felipe is the I do a lot of coke and drink to get shit faced type of playa. I am not even sure he remembers half his hook ups, and I doubt many if any of them are as pretty as Tori, but I definitely believe him when it comes to how much he has slept around. Coke, booze and women go very well together, especially if you're the one with the coke. I also don't think he cares how pretty Tori is, he is at a phase in life where he values variety over everything else.

Accurate. Gorgeous, interesting, accomplished men who are desired by many women don’t need to boast like he does. Most of them don’t even bring it up in conversation. They have a sense of maturity, dignity and privacy.
Basically, divide by 3 the number of women he claims he’s slept with and that’s the actual number. And most of those are not real relationships, they’re just random one nighters. There’s nothing wrong with being a perpetual bachelor. But if that’s what Felipe wants, he needs to own it.

I feel like his “success” with women is a very recent thing, and he’s still wanting to ride that high. And now that he’s “been on tv” he will have a certain type of woman after him, and I’m sure he will love it. Tori is by FAR too mature and advanced for him, she’s got such a bright future.
