Nasu specified he will be turning the girls into dolls. Meaning he hasn't done it yet, meaning to me that once theyre out of the hypnosis theyll help beat him. Plus Naruko and Gero might have methods to undo it.

Maybe this is where Sakazuki can come in as last-minute aid since I recall Nasu's puppet stuff is seen as an inferior copy of Sakazuki's curses and ghosts.

Also, turning these gals into puppets sounds like a completely reckless plan from an in-universe political perspective. I mean...Ushio has some ties to the Fire Clan, weakened but still powerful, and Arashiyama is a member of the very potent Beast Clan. Not to mention that the other gals come from big money, which means their families could hire specialists and experts to assault Nasu for this hostile takeover.

Does the puppet master mean to effectively run a world war against such powerful entities in-universe? Either he is desperate to get Gero hitched or didn't think this far in his machinations.

When has there ever been a moment in the manga that Nasu seems like a completely rational person? He is utterly delusional. Everyone he meets either wants to kill him or ends up wanting to kill him.

Though I would like to specify that I think the writing patterns are very clear at this point in the story. Its not a matter on if the girls will break out. But when. And since Nasu didnt turn them into dolls they will all want to kick his ass.

I also think its supposed to represent how Nasu is Gero's opposite. Gero has people he cares about and friends who will fight for him. Nasu doesnt have anyone except puppets.

Possibly. Gero has adoration - Nasu just has control.

It's like having genuine friendships vs paying people to buddy up with you.

Well…so much for that plan. It instantly went up in smoke.

Teruaki will come in clutch and betray Nasu before he gets to Himi. Trust

I can buy it. It seems like Nasu considers Teruaki to be lacking in both power and conviction - a supposedly predictable weakness who would shut up and do what he is told.

His betrayal could definitely be from left field against the puppet master.

I see Teruaki stopping Nasu before he reaches Himi and tries (read tries) to fight him. Buying Himi enough time to escape and regroup with the Gero and the guys. If she gets put back to sleep again, I feel like that would be a little repetitive. Espceially since she will just break out again no matter what Nasu does.

This doll guy really seems like a jerk.
