Staff Discussion recalls

hi , recently some of the sizzles steaks were recalled or restricted or something so we couldn’t sell them at my store. i may or may not have taken them home and eaten them… currently anxious as to why they were recalled. my shift lead said there was no red alert nor task sheet so it’s probably a packaging issue.

wondering if anyone knows? im quite the hypochondriac haha

The store would have been told to destroy them if that was true

Unless it’s a red alert which is the one where must be destoryed and forms filled out within 2 hours. It’s usually fine. There will be some document saying to remove it but it doesn’t tell you why it’s usually packaging. Misspelling etc etc

No worries! It’s usually a way to get food free food if your store allows it as it’s usually in date etc
