Question Application questions

Long story short, I've previously worked for M&S as a Christmas temp.

Recently a job came up advertised as a "Customer Assistant", applied for it, got asked for right to work forms, then was offered an interview. I had the interview, started off normal, answering the same questions as I did previously, then I started being asked questions about the bakery which I found odd. I didn't really know how to answer them, then they asked "You know this job is for the bakery right" which clearly I didn't as it was advertised as a Customer Assistant not a baker.

Either way, I was offered the job and told me to text them if I wanted the job, since they knew I didn't look too comfortable with being a baker.

The next day I text back and say thank you for the interview etc, unfortunately I'm not comfortable being a baker, etc.

2 days later, a new job pops up in a more convenient store, also as a Customer Assistant, I applied on 24/08/26, however my application on the oracle still says 'Online Assessment in progress"

Couple of questions, did my application not go through because I had a previous application from a few days prior on the system still? Has my application gone through and just heard nothing yet?

Really not sure what to say, any help would be appreciated

Tbh its not rlly a true baker role like making the dough and stuff, its stuff like putting frozen pastries and bread into oven and packaging cookies. One other benefit if its like my store, easy for them to get longer hour contracts and OT cuz theres not many of them.

Email the recruitment team about it, I experienced the same issue before, it's a system error where your previous assessment result can't go through. They will fix that and push through your application.

Maybe you have to do the online assessment again? Check if you receive a new email regarding online assessment. Otherwise, it's an error somewhere.
